Eating Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch is as American as apple pie. I can remember picking out a different flavor of jam or jelly each week for my beloved PB&J’s. I was delighted when we found Jif peanut butter or Smuckers on sale that week because that meant my Mom would stock up on our favorite flavors. My go-to then and now is creamy Jif peanut butter with Smuckers Strawberry fruit spread. So, so good! I bet you have a favorite PB&J combo as well. I’m excited to be working with Jif and Smuckers today to share with you some new products and to let you know about the Imagine If with Jif Contest.

It’s that time of year again parents. The time we both dread and love- back to school time is here in middle Tennessee and in communities all around the south. This year will be a little easier for us with our oldest daughter since she will be a sophomore in college. We know better what to expect with her living on campus. We wanted to ensure she had cleaning drinking water when she moved into another dorm hall this year, and working with ZeroWater will ensure that.

I’ve been trying to take better care of myself this summer by focusing on positive ways I can switch up my daily routine. I’ve been moving more, drinking more water and listening to my body when it says I need a break from work. These are all good ways to show myself some love and I’m feeling really good about my progress so far! I still need to work on eating breakfasts though. It’s a proven fact that a good way to start your day off right is with a hearty breakfast and I’m happy to share a new breakfast cereal I love and will eat most mornings!
How does one go about finding faith in ourselves or something bigger than ourselves? How do we step out in faith and believe in the whisper that some of us hear that says… do this instead of that? These questions and potentially finding the answers to my own nagging whisper had me happily agreeing to review a complimentary copy of The Hundred Story Home by Kathy Izard and to hosting a giveaway for 3 copies for you!

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle should be something we all strive for all year; and while I try to do my best most days, one look at me in last year’s swimsuit was enough to let me know I needed to revisit some of my healthy living habits. I’m not into fad diets, body shaming or negative self-talk, so my post today will focus on the positive actions I’ve taken in the past that have worked well. I think they will work for you too. Here are 3 ways to achieve your health goals this summer.
Have you ever washed off the day’s makeup only to find it isn’t rinsing off your washcloth? You rinse again, maybe try a little hand soap on the worse stains, but that waterproof mascara and stay forever lip gloss isn’t budging. With three ladies in the house removing makeup on the daily, it can become a hassle to pre-treat each and every washcloth, so I knew from the moment I became a Biz Ambassador that this was a stain challenge I wanted Biz to win! Here’s my simple to steps on getting makeup stains out of washcloths easily with Biz Stain Fighter.

Hello, my dear readers! It’s nice to be back with you after taking a few days off to celebrate my daughter’s successful completion of their freshman years at college and high school. We gearing up for a fun Memorial Day weekend, our unofficial start of summer and can’t wait to share all sorts of fun posts with you! First, though, I must share with you our updated privacy policy so that My WAHM Plan complies with the GDPR.
The warm spring days that feel more like summer have arrived in middle Tennessee. With our crazy cooler than average April temps, it is a welcome feeling to be wearing flip-flops instead of layers! My family and I are so ready to start spending our evenings outside. Unfortunately, warmer weather has brought out a legion of flying bugs and pests. Thanks to today’s sponsor, DynaTrap, I have a safer way to trap pests both inside and out this summer.
I love receiving homemade gifts any time of year, but most especially on Mother’s Day. We are a family of traditions and one that I adore is having the kids serve me breakfast they made themselves. When they were little, Daddy helped of course; but as they got older they wanted to take on more of the responsibility. I’ve been served everything from toast with jam to chocolate covered strawberries. I know my daughters would love whipping up this simple Blueberry loaf recipe from celeb chef Zipora Einav for me. Baked goods make a perfect Mother’s Day gift!

Coming of age in the 80’s like I did, it was hard not to see and want to be more like Christie Brinkley. The woman was everywhere! She graced over 200 magazine covers, most notably for fashion, beauty, and swimsuits. It comes as no surprise to me that at 63, Christie is still active in these industries. In February, Christie added prestige color cosmetics to her Authentic Beauty line and as fate would have it; I finally get to be more like Christie when I received some of her Authentic Beauty products to share with you today. I think they would make perfect Mother’s Day Gifts!

For many of us across the United States, it may still look and feel like winter with snow on the ground. Even here in the south, I’m covering my Clematis and Peony bushes while praying that we will see our last freeze or frost warning of the season soon. Our fickle spring weather may be keeping us from working in our gardens, but we can use this time to get our gardening tools in order. It’s time to clean those shovels and trowels and replace any worn tools. Here in my garden, I’m starting the growing season with a new garden hose nozzle sprayer from Gardenite.

Light bladder leakage won’t keep me from my gardening goals
in #AD, #PoiseMoment, Garden, gardening, goals, LBL, protection, spring, by Linda A Kinsman, Friday, March 30, 2018
Yesterday started out like many spring mornings, with grey skies and a light, gentle rain. Nothing like the previous night's storms that broke off a big branch of my just blooming Hawthorne tree! As I stood at my window and surveyed the damage, the quote "A goal without a plan is just a wish" by Antione de Saint Exupery was top of mind.
Planning out my Gardening Goals:
I pulled out my brand new garden journal, deciding to write my gardening ideas and goals down this year. There's lots of hard work and lifting ahead, so I'm not going to let light bladder leakage (LBL) keep me from my gardening goals!
I have a friend who always shows up at our coffee dates looking stylish, pulled together and amazingly without a purse. I’ve often marveled at her ability to walk out of the house with just her phone, keys and her cute little wallet, so when I had the opportunity to try this pretty iPhone case I happily agreed to give a no purse outing a try.
Do you need a soul refresh this Spring?
in refresh, renewal, small business, spring, thrive, WAHM Tip Wednesday, wahmtips, work at home mom, by Linda A Kinsman, Friday, March 23, 2018
Happy Spring everybody! Oh, how I’ve longed for this season to arrive. Truthfully, I long for spring to arrive every year because it is the season of renewal- from our gardens to our homes. This post was supposed to be part of my new series WAHM Tip Wedneday, but I decided to wait until spring, the season of renewal had arrived to share it! We are all ready to open up the windows, chase some dust bunnies, do some gardening and welcome in this beautiful season. Before we do that, why not take a day or two right now when spring is fresh and brand new to refresh our soul?
Love is the only way. That is a powerful message to convey to today's’ world, but love is really at the heart of life isn’t it? When a child acts out, what do parents do? We love them more. When a loved one or friend hurts, we hurt along with them and pour love over them. When a community weeps, we weep with them and try to help by showing acts of kindness, support, and love. Just like Apostle Paul, we should adopt the love is the only way mentality. I am thrilled to partner with Lev3l Digital and Sony Pictures Entertainment/ AFFIRM Films for today's’ post about the movie Paul, the Apostle of Christ coming to theaters just in time for Easter.
Elevate your mood with travel inspired aromatherapy

We all strive to make our homes a welcoming place for ourselves and our friends and family because no matter how far we travel, there truly is no place like home. Scents play a bigger role in that welcoming feeling than you may imagine.
Scents like fresh baked cookies, or lemon zest or fresh Eucalyptus, for example, are scents that I associate with pleasant memories from places we’ve traveled too, or places I’ve lived. I’ve been reading up on Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils which led me to partner with Oojra, a woman-owned company that makes travel-inspired Essential Oil Reed diffusers and soy candles. This is Aromatherapy at its best, bringing exotic fragrances of the world into homes around the world.
Happy Friday and happy March! I’ve been a part-time freelancer for several years now and I speak from that experience when I say; the ability to get good gigs in my industry (blogging and brand awareness) is getting harder and harder each day as more people enter the workforce and embrace the “gig economy”. Seeing more and more marketing pros talk about multiple streams of income and what “side hustle” you may be able to pick up to achieve financial security led me to agree to review The Gig Is Up: Thrive in the Gig Economy, Where Old Jobs Are Obsolete and Freelancing Is the Future by Olga Mizrahi.
Happy Friday everyone! It is indeed a happy Friday for me as I write my first post for my newest ambassadorship with Biz Stain Fighter. Have you ever been awakened to the delightful scent of freshly brewed coffee? It’s a delightful way to start your day. I have so many good memories surrounding that smell. From my childhood with my parent's brew to today, where my husband and I take turns making special coffee on the weekends. What makes it special you ask? Freshly ground beans! My husband and I have been sipping coffee together for a long time, we are true coffee lovers. One of our favorite hobbies as a couple is trying new coffee blends and ways in which to brew it. I love gifting him gifting him coffee related items, so when an opportunity from Coastal Brew arrived in my inbox, I thought this non-electric manual coffee grinder is perfect for my husband!
Fantastic hunger relief scholars program for teens
in #AD, FamilyLife, food, hunger, program, relief, scholar, sustainable, teen, water, by Linda A Kinsman, Monday, February 12, 2018
Food and water, two resources most of us in America; especially in suburbia, take for granted. I know that I do. Turning on the tap for clean water, or opening my pantry for food is something I’m so accustomed to doing; I’ve become spoiled. Sure, my family and I give to our local food pantries, Goodwill store, and local shelter and we do our best not to waste water by turning off taps and conserving water when gardening, but there is so much more we can and should do to help protect our natural resources and help end hunger. I’m thrilled to partner with General Mills on their hunger relief scholars program for teens today. I think it’s a fantastic program! If you have teens, please read on!

With six more weeks of winter to go, we all must take every precaution to keep ourselves and our families well since the flu shows no signs of slowing down. This strain is nothing to trifle with as reports of hospitalizations and sadly, even deaths are on the evening news day after day.
I’ve already succumbed to this nasty virus around Christmas time so I can attest to this virus’ strength. I was lucky I didn’t have to be hospitalized, so I was only too happy to partner with Mucinex and help spread the word about their maximum strength products. Stocking up on these products now will help you be prepared in case flu strikes you or a loved one.

February has finally arrived, which is cause for celebration for so many of us. There is just so much to look forward to and celebrate this month. For those fortunate enough to live in warmer regions, you may start feeling the call of spring by the end of this month. Then there’s love to celebrate in its many forms on Valentine’s Day and a whole new line up of drivers will be greeting us at Nascar's Daytona 500 on the 18th. Today though, we are talking about appetizers for the BIG GAME! Are you ready for some football this Sunday? Here are some tasty crowd-pleasing Jalapeno Cheddar Bacon wafers we whipped up recently that are a perfect game day appetizer.

Wordless Wednesday: Cat Eyes
in cat, cat family, Eyes, green eyes, pets, wordless wednesday, by Linda A Kinsman, Wednesday, January 31, 2018
I struggle with having enough variety in my morning breakfast choices because I’m not a fan of traditional breakfast foods. Eggs? No way. Waffles? I’ll be hungry again in ten minutes. I’ll admit, sometimes I’ve skipped breakfast altogether, powering through on coffee alone. We all know just how unhealthy that is and I didn’t want to continue this in 2018.
I’ve always liked Granola, so when I received an email about reviewing KitchFix Grain-Free Paleo Granola, I was intrigued. I thought perhaps incorporating more Paleo-friendly food into my morning routine would be just the thing I need to get me back in the habit of eating breakfast.
This is a sponsored post for KitchFix. I received the products mentioned in today's post as a thank you for my time. No further compensation was given. All opinions are my own.
About KitchFix and CEO Chef Josh:
I love trying new products, especially small businesses that got their start from a desire to help others and to serve their communities. That’s what I found when I visited the KitchFix website. I really liked what I learned. KitchFix CEO Chef Josh states that they are committed to using the best, most flavorful ingredients, and raising the standard on healthy snacks.
I enjoyed reading how KitchFix got its start in Chicago when Chef Josh took his desire to help clients feed their bodies well.
“Chef Josh has always loved making people’s lives healthier and happier with great-tasting food. As a personal chef to clients overcoming cancer, he began exploring the healing power of food. He followed an anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense cooking plan that avoided common allergens like dairy and gluten to ensure his clients’ bodies were thriving from the food they ate.”
About Grain-Free Paleo Granola:
According to their website, this is the combination that started it all - the original Grain-Free Paleo Granola. They slow-roast a core blend of nuts and seeds to perfection in coconut oil with cinnamon, sea salt and just a touch of pure maple syrup. Then, they top it off with plump Thompson raisins and coconut flakes to create our savory Original Mix. They left out Gluten, grain, dairy, and refined sugars, leaving only healthy, delicious, Paleo granola.
I absolutely LOVE this blend on Greek yogurt. I add a piece of fruit and this tasty breakfast stays with me for hours. I’m not hungry for over 4 hours. My family loves it too, preferring to eat it by the handful as a quick snack.
About Grain-Free Paleo Honey Pecan Granola:
KitchFix says when they came up with our Grain-Free Paleo Honey Pecan Granola; they wanted to make every bite taste like fresh pecan pie. With a mixture of crunchy pecans and other nuts and seeds sweetened with natural honey, pure maple syrup and just a touch of cinnamon, it truly does taste as good as a slice of pecan pie. This is a perfect on the go granola snack too. My husband loves it because it’s so full of nuts, it doesn’t feel or taste like any granola he’s ever had.
Our Thoughts:
We give these two Paleo Grain-Free Granola’s two thumbs up! Way, way up! I will definitely purchase them for us in the future. You can learn more about their granola ingredients, other flavors, and products and use their store locator by visiting KitchFix .
Win It:
Thanks to today’s sponsor, KitchFix, one lucky reader will win two bags of KitchFix Paleo Grain-Free Granola. Entering is easy using the entry form below. No purchase is necessary.
Good luck!
