Eating Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch is as American as apple pie. I can remember picking out a different flavor of jam or jelly each week for my beloved PB&J’s. I was delighted when we found Jif peanut butter or Smuckers on sale that week because that meant my Mom would stock up on our favorite flavors.  My go-to then and now is creamy Jif peanut butter with Smuckers Strawberry fruit spread.  So, so good! I bet you have a favorite PB&J combo as well. I’m excited to be working with Jif and Smuckers today to share with you some new products and to let you know about the Imagine If with Jif Contest.

I received complimentary products to facilitate today’s post. All thoughts, opinions, and love of PB&J’s are my own.

Fun Facts about the Classic Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich:

I mean this sincerely, I feel sorry for people who can’t enjoy peanut butter or peanut products. I don’t know how many of these sandwiches I’ve eaten, or served my kids- but the folks at Jif and Smuckers do.

1. The Average American Eats 1,500 PB&Js Before Graduating High School!

Wow! I’m not sure if I can claim to have eaten that many, but I can attest to this next fun fact:

2. 30% of Parents Make a PB&J for Themselves When They Make One for Their Kids.

Yep, I’ve done this a time or two as well. Lastly, I had no idea that I was on the #winning team in the creamy vs crunchy game. Yep- that’s right,

3. 68% of Americans Prefer Creamy Peanut Butter to Crunchy!

The great thing about Jif is it offers so many peanut butter options beyond their tasty classics like low sodium natural and natural with honey, whips and even cinnamon flavored peanut butter.  My daughters love the Jif To-Go cups and can’t wait to try some of their newest snacks and spread options. If it’s been a while since you shopped for Jif products, you should check out their website here. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Speaking of new products, we are loving Smuckers Uncrustables!

Tasty lunches made easy with Smuckers Uncrustables:

I’ll be the first to admit, I normally don’t purchase Uncrustables because I enjoy making sandwiches for my family. However, I may be putting these tasty sandwich options in the rotation now that we’ve got to taste the goodness that is the peanut butter and honey on whole wheat Uncrustables and the chocolate Hazelnut flavored spread Uncrustables. Both are delicious! I can serve the whole wheat and honey sandwich for a quick out the door breakfast or snack (for my girls or myself!) and while I love a good Hazelnut sandwich anytime, I’m thinking of serving this one a sweet after-school treat. Look at all this tasty goodness.

It’s true, some food combos are just better together and that will remain true for Jif and Smuckers for years and years to come. They will continue to help feed our kids a healthy lunch which helps fuel their brains and bodies.  When kids eat well, they can learn and grow and imagine a big future for themselves. I’m honored to help support the Jif Imagine If contest and share it with you today!
