Friday Faves July Edition

While I love reading other Friday Faves weekly posts, I can’t seem to get my posts done with any regularity. So, instead of giving up on this writing theme completely, I’m going to do a Friday Faves for July, which showcases fun and sensible products that arrived too late for me to add them to June’s Gift Ideas For Dads.  I’m living a true summertime WAHM lifestyle, folks!

Friday Faves July Edition

Friday Faves July Edition

My thanks to each brand showcased in today's post for sending my complimentary products for review. No other compensation was given. All opinions are my own.

Up first, we have a stylish and functional hat from Walleroo. The Summit is perfect for men and women. According to their website, the Summit is the ultimate adventure hat for tackling the elements.

Walleroo Summit Outdoor Hat

The Summit hat is crafted from lightweight, quick-drying fabric. An adjustable chin strap ensures a secure fit, while its packable design makes it perfect for unpredictable outdoor conditions. A hidden pocket in the crown adds convenience, keeping your ID, keys, and credit cards safely tucked away.

Since July is UV Safety Awareness Month, I was happy to learn that this hat has UPF 50+ fabric that blocks 97.5% of ultraviolet rays, according to the Australian Radiation Protection Agency.

My Thoughts:

I was very pleasantly surprised by the packaging of this hat. It comes secured to a recyclable plastic hat form, making it easy for me to present it to my husband. He loves it!

He immediately put it on and marveled at how well it fit. I got him a L/XL. I would need this in an M/L. We like how quickly the hat dries after a day of mowing and yard work. There was no staining, but if there had been, it would have been easy to hand wash and air dry this hat.

If you or a loved one needs a durable, lightweight outdoor hat, go check out Walleroo Hat Company. They have many hat styles to choose from and offer 10% off your order.

Next up is a tasty gift idea from a company in Canada with a funny, or should I say, puny, name. Jewels Under The Kilt is a woman-owned fruit and nut farm in Fergus, Ontario, Canada.

Jewels Under the Kilt Nuts

Their patent-pending roasting process utilizes the last tapping of fine dark maple syrup to preserve the nut during roasting. Currently, they offer a variety of nuts, including:

  • Salted and Unsalted Mixed Nuts
  • Pecans
  • Walnuts
  • Hazelnuts
  • Almonds

My Thoughts:

I received boxes of their dry-roasted, salted, and unsalted mixed nuts and found them to be a delightful twist on a roasted nut. The flavor profile is unique, subtle, and delicious. I like that each box contains two sealed pouches of the nuts, so you can control serving size and freshness.

My husband raved about them and wants to keep these on hand around the holidays. I invite you to learn more about this unique artisan nut company by visiting Jewels Under The Kilt. I think they’d make a perfect gift for a foodie on your list.

My next Friday Fave is a fun gift idea for guys who like understated jewelry. Otter Spirit offers natural gemstones with a purpose.

Otter Spirit Gemstone Bracelet Trio

Otter Spirit got its start in 2020 in Monterey Bay, California (which I just mentioned as one of my favorite places in a book review ) with a mission to offer authentic gemstones while protecting wild sea otters. How cool is that?

Each piece of their jewelry is handmade, natural, and AAA grade. I received a beautiful trio of bracelets, perfect for men, but women would love them too. The packaging and attention to detail are phenomenal.

I love that Otter Spirit adds an information card for each bracelet so you can learn about each piece's use and intention. My trio is:

  • Smoky Quartz: Intention- Protection, Intuition
  • Bronzite: Intention- Protection, Balance
  • Hematite: Intention- Protection, Balance

My Thoughts:

The bracelets are lovely! They are well crafted and feel so good on your skin. I would wear these as a stack, honestly. Since these are meant for me to give to my husband, I’ll give him the Bronzite first, since it is made for his birth sign, Leo.

More than likely, he will keep this in his truck around his gear shift as a daily reminder of my love and wish for his safe return home each day. If you enjoy astrology and learning about the use of gemstones, or you just love beautifully made jewelry, be sure to visit Otter Spirit to see all they offer. Their July collection is currently 30% off.

Lastly, I want to share a health gadget you may not think of, but is helpful to have on hand, the Neo Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor by iHealth

Neo Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor

I was happy to learn that this was listed as “best wireless blood pressure monitor” by Men’s Health, because my man’s health and blood pressure are very important to me. He doesn’t have high blood pressure; however, at his last yearly exam, his doctor noticed an uptick in his stats and suggested we keep a monitor on hand to take a monthly reading to keep track of it.

My Thoughts:

I really like how user friendly this model is. It’s compact, one cord, one button design means no more wrestling with multiple pieces. The inflationary measuring technology measures inflation faster for a more comfortable experience and automatically adjusts pressure. I love that!

The Neo offers data management that offers up to 99 readings saved on the device and unlimited readings when connected with the free companion app iHealth MyVitals,  so you can store, track and share your blood pressure measurements with your smartphone. A perfect way to track and share your blood pressure with your doctor.

Learn more about the Neo Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor is currently on sale. You can learn more here

I hope you’ve found this round-up of Friday Faves for July helpful! I hope you are staying safe and cool.
