Happy Friday, dear readers. I can’t believe we’re just six days away from Christmas and two days away from the official start of winter! I know in some parts of the country, the ground is covered in snow, so you are already in the thick of winter weather. We’ll be having a green and bright Christmas here in middle Tennessee, which is in line with one of my Friday Faves.
Friday Faves Labor Day Edition
It’s the last Friday of August, and with Labor Day here, so I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite products I’ve tried recently with this Friday Faves, Labor Day Edition post. I love the idea of sharing Friday favorites and hope to make it a weekly thing here on the blog.

Friday Faves July Edition
While I love reading other Friday Faves weekly posts, I can’t seem to get my posts done with any regularity. So, instead of giving up on this writing theme completely, I’m going to do a Friday Faves for July, which showcases fun and sensible products that arrived too late for me to add them to June’s Gift Ideas For Dads. I’m living a true summertime WAHM lifestyle, folks!
Friday Faves July Edition
Happy Friday and happy November. I’m happy to say I’ve managed to regularly post this segment for a year now! It’s getting easier to curate my Friday Faves lists to share with you, and it gives me a sense of accomplishment in doing them, so they will continue in 2026.
Friday Faves Early Autumn Edition:
Welcome to Fall Friday Faves
It feels and looks very fall like today in Nashville, TN. area because the remnants of Hurricane Helene showed up here before sunrise. We’re blessed to be okay and I send out well wishes for all who were in the path of it. Even though I didn’t hit my goal of a weekly Friday Faves post this month like I shared on Labor Day, I’m happy to be sharing my second today and will try again in October.

Friday Faves Food and Drink Edition
Happy Friday, dear readers. If you are among the many who sent their kids back to school in the heat of August, I’m thinking of you and hoping your school year is off to a smooth start. Our school days are behind us now as empty nesters, but today’s topic brought back so many fond memories of making food and drink content with my girls. I hope you enjoy my latest Friday Faves.
Friday Faves Food and Drink Edition:
Summer is slowly fading into fall here in middle TN, and I am ready for the cooler temps, apple picking, and all things harvesty. I was having a good chat about apples before pumpkins over on my Instagram recently. I’d love for you to join in the fun there, too. I hope you’ll enjoy my latest Friday Faves Book Edition. There’s a good mix of book subjects.

Roasted Red Pepper BLT Wraps for a quick lunch
Happy first Friday of February friends! I’ve had a very productive week, which means most days I was eating lunch on the fly and grazing my way through the afternoon until I’d cook and eat a proper dinner. Do you know those kinds of busy days where you eat a hand full of almonds here, and an apple there? I decided today I was going to treat myself to a proper lunch, so I used the leftovers from last night and made a Roasted Red Pepper BLT Wraps for a quick lunch. It was so, so good! I want to share this simple lunch idea with you and give you a chance to win some wraps too.
Quick Lunch Wrap:
It's that time of year again in middle Tennessee! The kids have been back in school about a month now, we've all got our normal routines established and the leaves are just starting to fall.
So what time is it?
Tennessee State Fair time! This has been a fun family event for us for years now and it just gets better every year!
Did you know the Tennessee State Fair has been held every year (with the exception of the 4 year span during World War II) since 1906! The fair has entertained Tennessee families for more than 100 years. It attracts more than 230,000 visitors annually.

For the hubby and I, it just wouldn't be a fair without all that not so good for you fair food!
The Fair is boasting their world famous fried Goo-Goo cluster, a local delicacy. You MUST try it! Of course they will have all your all time faves... funnel cakes, cotton candy, corn dogs and every other yummy thing you can think of. I love the way the aromas meld together, in the air, at the fair... can't you just smell it now?
My family is so excited to go to the fair. We plan to make an entire day of it.
