It was  an ugly, rainy day  in Tennessee yesterday, so while it was perfect for staying in and working on my list of cleaning, organizing and decluttering tasks I’ve got on my to-do list, it wasn’t a perfect internet day, so I couldn’t get this post up. This week I’m covering how to deep clean and organize your kitchen. That doesn’t mean getting lost in organizing the junk drawer, or the crazy lids cabinet, there will be time for that later. This task is meant to help you clean your surfaces and organize what is in plain sight.

Happy 2023 dear readers! I hope this finds you well rested after the holidays. I’ve been seeing oodles of January decluttering challenges online, but mine is going to be a little different. Since I chose DECLUTTER as my word of the year, I wanted to spend more time on this, so I’m going to be doing a year long decluttering series with weekly and monthly prompts. I’m doing this in an effort to remove physical, mental, and emotional clutter from my life, especially since we’ve lived in the same house for 15+ years. I hope you will join me.

Happy Halloween! I hope you all have a safe and fun time! I honestly don’t know where October went, but what I do know is that coughs, sneezes and overall yuckies are making their presence known locally and unfortunately in my home. If you’ve followed this blog or my social media for a while, you know I love a
clean and tidy home, so, I was excited at the opportunity to ty a new product that will keep your home clean and disinfected with no toxic chemicals from Force of Nature. Read on to learn all about this new cleaning product.

Happy Friday friends! I’m so excited that spring will officially arrive in just 23 days! To help me get through the cold, dreary days of February, I’ve started a few cleaning projects early this year. One chore that we may often overlook in the cold months are our ceiling fans. I clean mine every season and it is a time consuming, messy task, so I was intrigued when I got an email asking if I’d like to try a new ceiling fan cleaning tool that stops the mess. Read on to learn all about the Blade Butler and enter to win one!

As a busy work at home Mom, I love products that help keep me organized and make my life easier at home  and on the go. Somedays, my office is at a local event or venue where I need easy access to my phone, wallet, tablet, or laptop. I don’t want to arrive with a huge bag, so having streamlined products is ideal. Recently, I was asked if I’d like to work with Ekster again for the holidays and I happily said yes. I love being able to continue a working relationship with brands I’ve worked with in the past and truly like their products. Today, I’m sharing two clever gift ideas for busy Moms I think you will really like.

Did you ever watch the Jetson’s cartoon and wish you had a smart home like theirs, or at the very least your own Rosey the robot to help you clean up life’s little messes? I sure did! Don’t get me wrong, I actually like some chores, but vacuuming everyday isn’t one of them. This year, I’m putting a smart robot vacuum on my gift list. I think it’s a perfect gift idea to help keep our homes neat and tidy now and in the future. I do hope to see one under our tree! Read on to learn about two new Neato Robotics vacuums.

If you’ve followed my blog or socials for the last couple of years, you’ll recognize the NewAir name because I’ve reviewed several of their products. From a portable heater that’s perfect for taking the chill out of a guest room, a space saving wine fridge, to their popular counter top clear ice maker, I’ve had a wonderful experience with this brand. I was delighted recently when I was asked to become an NewAir Ambassador and help them celebrate their 20th anniversary by reviewing the NewAir Anniversary Series limited edition 100 Can beverage Fridge which helps chill drinks easily.

Five Expert Tips on Fall Closet Organization

in , , , , , by Linda A Kinsman, Thursday, October 22, 2020
Even though every season has a full list of chores to do, most people tend to tackle closets in the spring. I did manage to re-organize one of our smaller closets this spring, but then I became overwhelmed with our overrun bedrooms closets and stopped. Now that it’s time to pack away warm season clothes, I knew I had to tackle fall closet organization this fall and now, thanks to Christina Giaquinto, home organization expert with Modular Closets.  I’ve got expert help in the form of her five tips she’s sharing here today. Let’s tackle this task once and for all with Christina’s help.

Five Expert Tips on Fall Closet Organization

Take me to an office supply store or let me shop online for organization tools and I am in my happy place. There is no way I can do my work as a blogger without at least one planner. Most years I have two, along with pads of paper, notebooks to write ideas down, file folders to organize my home office and good pens.  Imagine my absolute delight when I got word that I was going to receive a box full of goodies from the new Erin Condren Focused Collection! The word FOCUS spoke to me, because I had just been talking about taking something off my plate starting now, in the fourth quarter of 2020, so I could focus on organization, blog work and more with the new streamlined planners and tools by Erin Condren.

Welcome to August and the dog days of summer, where the fruit gets sweeter and juicer by the day. I love having fresh fruit available for my family and friends, but I over the years, I’ve noticed that kids won’t think twice about eating fruit that may or may not be washed. Recently, Arm and Hammer sent me a fabulous solution; their Fruit & Vegetable Wash along with two other helpful cleaning essentials I think you are going to love as much as I do.

Maybe it’s the dreary weather, but February finds me wanting to clean and organize my home. I look around and see hot spots here and there, but I’m giving myself grace and reminding myself that this is a home full of people making these hot spots and it will take time to get to each area.  I’ve decided to start small with the most obvious hot spot- my kitchen cabinets and the plethora of plastic containers. I’ve tried getting rid of them completely, but that only lasts so long, because we are a family that cooks, so having handy storage containers is a must. Thankfully, a solution arrived when I was asked if I’d like to review Zoku products, including their Neat Stack Nesting Container Set, which will make organizing kitchen cabinets a snap!

Everybody has their go-to pair of shoes. You know, the super comfortable, cute ones that just fit their personality and lifestyle. For me, that means more often than not, you’ll find me wearing sneakers. Like most people I know, I own multiple styles and types of sneakers I wear for different tasks. With the exception of my gardening sneaks, I care about how they look and try to keep them as clean as possible; especially if they are whited soled. I’ve recently discovered a cool cleaning hack where I can clean my favorite white soled sneakers quickly in less than 15 minutes with no drying time needed.

Happy Friday and happy first day of winter. Our middle Tennessee weather has decided to match the season by turning cold, wet and windy overnight. There is even a slight chance of a flurry or two later today! We love seeing the snow, but don’t care for the bone chilling temps. A week or two before winter truly sets in, I get out my family’s winter coats, check them for wear, missing buttons and stains. I usually have at least one coat I need to run to the dry cleaners, but I got to save time and money this year by dry cleaning them at home with Dryel.

We are in the preliminary stages of planning our Thanksgiving day here and for me and my girls that means choosing which tablecloth and napkin set, we’ll use this year.  We all have our favorites and it really won’t matter to me which ones we choose as long as they are clean and wrinkle-free.  I love table linens and was fortunate enough to be gifted some vintage tablecloths from my Grandmother in Law and three handmade doilies from my Grandmother.

The fact that she crocheted these doilies herself make them even more special to me, so I decided early on to bring them out only during the holidays to preserve their beauty. Sadly, there was a staining mishap the last time I had them out. I didn’t realize there was a stain until the next day, so it set in and I was afraid it may never come out until I remembered, I’m a Biz Stain Fighter Ambassador! Read on to see how you can prep your holiday linens with Biz just like I did.

Have you ever washed off the day’s makeup only to find it isn’t rinsing off your washcloth? You rinse again, maybe try a little hand soap on the worse stains, but that waterproof mascara and stay forever lip gloss isn’t budging.  With three ladies in the house removing makeup on the daily, it can become a hassle to pre-treat each and every washcloth, so I knew from the moment I became a Biz Ambassador that this was a stain challenge I wanted Biz to win!  Here’s my simple to steps on getting makeup stains out of washcloths easily with Biz Stain Fighter.
