Anytime I’m asked to review or share a product, I visit the brands website and read the About page. It’s part of my vetting system, and after 11 years of providing coverage, I find it’s a great a tool to help me decide if the brand/product aligns with my core values. Keeping a clean and tidy home with a product that’s pet and kid friendly certainly fits. I learned that Force of Nature was started by “green dad” Sandy Posa and kindergarten teacher, Melissa Lush. Both came together to form Force of Nature when they learned about the wonder in electrolyzed water!

adding activator capsule

Remember back in school when you’d walk into science class and see beakers on the tables? You knew class was going to be lots of fun! That’s the feeling I got when setting up my Force of Nature starter kit, which is done in five easy steps. The hardest part of this is waiting for the magic to happen! If oy have kids at home, let them watch you make this multi-purpose cleaner and score some cool parent points!

Step One- Make sure the power jack on the back of Electrolyzer is in place and fill appliance with tap water to fill line.

Step Two- Plug the power cord into the Electrolyzer and into an outlet.

Step Three- Squeeze the full contents of one activator capsule. Wait for 10 seconds for solution to disperse.

What’s in the Activation Capsule? Water, Salt, Vinegar, That’s it!

Step Four- Press the start button on the front of the Electrolyzer once. Blue lights will be begin pulsing, then transition to green.

The beginning of the electrolyzed process

This is where the cool magic happens! It takes about nine minutes for the activation to be complete and it’s loads of fun watching the bubbles form! Check out my video.

The Magic Begins!

How does this work to Clean and Disinfest?

cleaning bubbles

The water, salt and vinegar solution are made up of tiny molecules. When you push the Force of Nature’s start button, an electrical current breaks apart the molecules, which for sodium hydroxide whose mission is to clean messes, while the end product hypochlorous acid (electrolyzed water) is to clean germs and odors and is a cleaner as strong as bleach.

Step Five- Unplug Electrolyzer and pour cleaner into spray bottle. You can then either mark the date and time on your spray bottle since the cleaner should be used within two weeks, or you can leave the Electrolyzer plugged in and it will keep track of the time for you with a series of lights which are noted in your quick guide.

What can you clean with Force of Nature multi-purpose Cleaner?

sparkly clean and disinfected sink

The short answer is everything! This cleaner is safe to use on most surfaces. I cleaned my kitchen sink first and loved how clean and sparkly it was and how it smelled clean, but not like a cleaner! You can smell a hint of the vinegar when using the cleaner, but it quickly dissipates. Here’s a short list of items you can use this cleaner on.

  • Baby Gear- Pacifiers, highchairs, toys, strollers, car seats, bibs, bath toys
  • Makeup brushes
  • Straw cups, sippy cups, thermoses
  • Humidifiers
  • Backpacks, lunchboxes, reusable lunch bags
  • You can even spray a little of this water into fresh cut flower vases to help them last longer.

What about Germs?

Force of Nature says they’ve got that covered as well because it’s an EPA registered disinfectant and sanitizer that can be used in hospitals, schools, daycare centers, restaurants and gyms. According to the quick guide enclosed in my starter kit, when you use their non-toxic, multi-purpose cleaner as directed, it kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses including:

  • Staph
  • MRSA
  • Norovirus
  • Salmonella
  • Listeria
  • Pseudomonas & Influenza A

My Thoughts:

Force of Nature multi purpose cleaner

This gives me such piece of mind as we enter cold and flu season! I’ve already used on my kitchen sink, and all the “often touched” items like TV emotes, door handles including fridge handles and light fixtures. There’s no residue, no heavy cleaner scent, no need to rinse! Just spray, wipe, done! In just a few minutes a day, you can keep your home clean and disinfected with no toxic chemicals and that makes me very happy.

I invite you to learn more about Force of Nature and their affordable starter kit ($80) by visiting their website here and by following them on Instagram for lots of helpful cleaning and disinfecting tips.
