Around this time each year, my husband and daughters start asking for gift ideas for Mother’s Day. Each year I might give them hints, but I don’t come right out and tell them to buy me something, because I want to be surprised! This weekend when I was asked again what I want for Mother’s Day, I decided to create a lovely Mother’s Day gift ideas I’d love to give and receive post in case you need a little inspiration as well or have family members asking what you’d like to  receive.

Lovely Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Happy Earth day! Over the years, I’ve written several blog posts to share how my family honors our earth by showcasing what we are planting or events we’ll be attending. There are many resources available on the EarthDay.org site and I hope you’ll visit and find a way to plug in and help where you are. This year, I’m focusing on shining a light of food resources and farms that are doing their part to help stop food scarcity. One such company is Nature’s Path Organic Foods, so I made Sunrise vanilla yogurt bowls to celebrate Earth day and to share a little more about Nature’s Path and their recent annual Gardens for Good Program.

Happy Monday friends! I hope you are having lovely spring weather in your area like we are enjoying here in Nashville. April is always so pretty here with all the trees and flowers blooming. My only wish is that time would slow down! April seems to be flying by. Speaking of time flying by, can you believe it's been 20 years since we were first introduced to Shrek and his merry band of friends? I know I was blown away when I read that, so I just had to share this fun 20th anniversary release of Shrek in theaters this month! Read on for all the details.

Quick & Easy Grilled Chicken Flatbread Sandwich

in , , , , , , by Linda A Kinsman, Friday, March 26, 2021
As the days grow longer and warmer, my idea of a perfect lunch is evolving. I’m wanting lots of fruits and veggies and a heart grained bread for a sandwich or as a side to soup just feels too heavy now that spring has officially arrived. Recently, I found the answer when I was asked if I’d like to try Atoria’s Family Bakery mini flatbread with whole grain and flax seeds. I made a quick and easy grilled chicken flatbread sandwich that was so good, I wanted to share it with you in case you are wanting a lighter lunch as well.

My thanks to Atoria's Family Bakery for the complimentary flatbread showcased in today's post. No other compensation given. All opinions are my own.

It happens to all of us. We need a snack, but we can’t put our finger on what we are craving. Some people head to the fridge for something cold and crispy, while others, like my husband will always look for something crunchy and salty. If he can get a little sweet mixed in so much the better, so imagine our delight when Sweet Chaos popcorn sent us a big box of their flavored popcorn. And because they are so sweet, they are hosting a giveaway for a variety bundle of popcorn so you can satisfy your sweet salty cravings with Sweet Chaos popcorn too.

February with it’s cold, dreary winter days always makes me yearn for spring. I know I’m not alone in this need for warmer temperatures to arrive and wipe away the last bit of winter, but we have a few more weeks to wait until spring shows up. Now is the perfect time to start your gardening plans if you haven’t already. I’ve got three books to share with you in the next few weeks that will help with that. Today’s book review and giveaway is all about Spices and how you can grow them no matter where you live.
