This past weekend, my family and I bundled up, jumped in the car and headed to First Horizon Park in Nashville for an epic holiday light show experience. Enchant Nashville, a themed light walk through winter wonderland presented by Hallmark is a sight to behold! It’s the largest themed light event in the U.S. and one you won’t want to miss. Read on to learn more and grab tickets before the end of the year.

Maximize your shopping trips for a stress-free holiday season
in #AD, #PoiseLinerLove @Walmart, FamilyLife, holiday, shopping, tips, by Linda A Kinsman, Tuesday, November 08, 2016
We have finally reached November,
and with that we welcome in the holiday season. For most of us, that means GO time. We take out our planners and
phones and we start juggling. We vow that this year, we will wag more, and bark
less! We promise we will be one cool-as-a-cucumber, organized lady from now
until New Year’s Day! And then reality sets in and we start to feel a little
less confident in our superwoman capabilities! Even more so if we have LBL
(light bladder leakage), which can cause an entirely different type of stress
altogether.
This is a sponsored
post for Acorn Influence. All opinions are my own.
I’ve touched on LBL a time or two
in the past here on my blog because I feel it is such an important topic that
shouldn’t be taboo. Over the course of this year, I’ve experienced LBL while
doing strenuous gardening, to my dismay, and also when making myself wait too
long to find a restroom. I kept telling myself, I’ll get just one more item off
my list and then I’ll break for the bathroom. Sound familiar?
Since then, I’ve devised a new
way of shopping. Armed with my master
shopping list (that my family helps keep current), I decide what local
store would have most, if not all, of the items on that list. More often than
not, I find myself shopping at my local Walmart. Not only does most Walmart’s
have two convenient bathrooms at the front and rear of the store; I love that I
can pick up lettuce for a salad, boot socks for the kids, a holiday card and my
newest accessory, Poise Microliners, all in one shopping trip.
Another tip I’ve started
implementing is writing out my shopping list in the order I’ll find products in
the store. So worth the prep time when you don’t have to walk all the way
through a store again for a forgotten item! That’s saves me time, which helps me be stress-free.
Ladies, if you are starting to
experience occasional LBL like I am ‒ it’s time for you to make the switch from
your regular pantyliner to Poise Microliners. The lightest absorbency liners
are just as thin as my regular brand of pantyliner, and just as cost-effective.
I got this two-month-supply box at my local Walmart for $4.68. I found the
liners on the top shelf, but you’ll see the whole line of Poise near the
feminine care aisle.
One thing I noticed right away
when I made the switch was I couldn’t feel a difference at all! Poise liners
have thin-flex technology, so they move with your body and they stay put in
your underwear, too. They offer 3-in-1 protection: dryness, comfort, and odor
control, making them my perfect go-to liner from now on. Each box comes with a
number to help you efficiently and discreetly choose which product is best for
you.
If this is your first time
purchasing Poise liners and you don’t want to stand in the aisle reading each
box, I suggest visiting Walmart.com, where you’ll find helpful information on
all the Poise products they carry.
By setting aside time each week
to think through what you need to accomplish, making a master shopping list,
routing your path through the store and using your new accessory, Poise liners
for LBL, you should be able to maximize your shopping trips for a stress-free
holiday season.
Let’s all endeavor to wag more, bark less, enjoy more and
stress less this holiday season.
Happy Holidays!

your best holiday shopping tip?
Are you hosting family and friends during the holidays this year? Naturally, you want to make them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. All of a sudden the busiest spot in your home isn’t the kitchen; it’s the foyer. Before your guests arrive, think through what they will be wearing and carrying so you can provide a clean, functional space to help get them settled in quickly. This chore shouldn’t take more than 35 minutes.
Weekly Chore Prompt: Make a Holiday Hostess cleaning Checklist
in #weeklychoreprompt, checklist, chore prompt, cleaning, holiday, Hostess, tips, by Linda A Kinsman, Wednesday, November 04, 2015
Here we are, just three short weeks away from Thanksgiving
and I haven’t finished half my fall cleaning chores found on my checklists here
and here. Being a homemaker at heart,
it’s tough for me to admit my home isn’t in “company ready” condition and I could
share with you a handful of excuses, but instead- I’m going to swing into
action and share my Holiday Hostess cleaning checklist that will help you and I
be ready to greet family and friends in no time.

Burt's Bees Holiday no wrap collections |
We received the Burt’s Bees Mani- Pedi set and the Hive Favorites much to
the delight of my teen and tween daughters. Thankfully, both sets came with a
lip balm or I would have been in trouble. While we loved the cool no-wrap
feature of these holiday collections, we simply couldn’t wait until Christmas
to try them.
We opened the cute Hive Favorites first, which has a replenishing lip
balm with Pomegranate oil and a small tube of nourishing milk and honey body
lotion. This lip balm smells and tastes as divine as it sounds, and offers just a
wee bit of color, so it’s perfect for any tween or teen on your gift list.
Next we all tried a squirt of the lightly scented milk and honey body
lotion. While rubbing it in we all agreed it made our arms and hands feel
ultra soft and refreshed. The Hive Favorite collection is a perfect stocking stuffer, birthday gift
or secret Santa surprise.
Then we opened the Mani Pedi collection. This set has everything
you need to take care of your hands and feet. We couldn’t get enough of the
rich scent and cool feel of the Peppermint foot lotion.
Next we tried the Shea Butter hand repair
cream and while we liked how it went straight to work fixing our dry hands,
we didn’t care for the overly herbal scent, so do be aware of it if you
purchase this for somebody with scent sensitivities. We do want to say that
this repair cream does work splendidly!
Lastly, we all washed our hands and gave the Lemon Butter cuticle
cream a try. This is heaven in a tin folks! We LOVE the scent
and how quickly it blends into our cuticles. Plus, it works really well on
rough cuticles making it a winner in our eyes. Combine all of these items and
put them in the stylish cosmetic bag included and you’ll have a gift sure to
please.
We really like the Burt’s Bees holiday “no wrap needed” gift collections finding them a convenient, affordable and perfectly gift-able choice.
If you have moms, teens, tweens,
Aunts, Uncles and personal care gift lovers on your holiday shopping list, you should check out
all the Burt’s Bees holiday collections here to find just the right one for
your needs.

I have always enjoyed the giving and receiving of Holiday Greeting
cards. I am a classic; less is more kind of card sender; preferring to send a
festive card with a short hand written note inside. As I sat down to start on my cards this week, I realized I needed to re-vamp my list completely since my master list was riddled with notes beside almost every name.
It was time for the Greeting Card cut list.
I don’t enter into this area lightly, because I know how I would feel if I were off the list. But wait a minute, I think that shipped has sailed if my notes are any indication!
Over the course of the last 3 years, we have received more e-cards from friends and family who once sent out mailed cards. Is this just a product of our societies need for all things “online”? Is it the downed economy? Have we Kinsman’s somehow fallen off the short list of worthy stamped greetings? Maybe, probably and I hope not!
The point is I feel obliged to follow the path in front of me and do my own form of cutting.
Here was my method:
If we haven’t heard from you in any form or fashion, like you have fallen off the face of the earth in 4 years: you are cut completely.
If you always thank me for my Christmas card in your e-card on my birthday in May: you are cut from my mailed list and bumped to e-card status.
If you have never us sent a mailed card, preferring e-cards, but haven’t sent me one in 2 yrs.: you are cut from my mailed card list, put on my e-card list, but only for this year.
If you send us your annual newsletter, complete with a call to donate to your charity: e-card!
If you sent us an e-card last year: e-card.
Did making these cuts make me feel Grinch-ish? Nope, it was liberating!
My new Greeting card list is clean and tidy and shows me that I have a nice balance of mailed cards at 60% and e-cards at 40%.
How does your Greeting Card list look? Is it time to update it?
Have you had to make cuts as well?
I'd love to hear from you!
