Winter has us in its grip this week and has covered a large portion of the US in snow and ice, so to combat the bad weather, I’m focusing on the fun of Valentine’s day gift giving! My shopping style has changed now that my daughters are older. It’s not all hearts and candies (although, I still love giving and receiving those). Now, I look for gifts beyond the candy aisle! I’ve found four cute and clever Valentine's Day gift ideas for the whole family to share with you today.
Heat your garage and other small spaces with a portable heater
We are almost to the end of the coldest month of the year for most of the United States, but that doesn’t mean the freezing temps are behind us. If your garage functions as a workshop for projects and storage like ours does, you may be in need of a portable heater to help warm up that space. I’ve got a great space saving, portable heater from NewAir to share with you today.

Sugaring Off by Gillian French| Book Review
Confession time, I didn’t read one YA book last year! Looking back over the titles I read and reviewed in 2022, I saw I’d shared lots of self-help, how-to’s and gardening books instead. Don’t get me wrong, I adore those genres and will continue to share them, but I also want to add some other genres to the mix, including fun YA titles. Today. I’m reviewing my first YA book of 2023, Sugaring Off, by Gillian French. This is my first book of hers I’ve read as well, but hopefully, I’ll be sharing more of her work this year.
First Book Review of 2023!
It was an ugly, rainy day in Tennessee yesterday, so while it was perfect for staying in and working on my list of cleaning, organizing and decluttering tasks I’ve got on my to-do list, it wasn’t a perfect internet day, so I couldn’t get this post up. This week I’m covering how to deep clean and organize your kitchen. That doesn’t mean getting lost in organizing the junk drawer, or the crazy lids cabinet, there will be time for that later. This task is meant to help you clean your surfaces and organize what is in plain sight.

New Declutter Series for 2023 with Weekly and Monthly Prompts
Happy 2023 dear readers! I hope this finds you well rested after the holidays. I’ve been seeing oodles of January decluttering challenges online, but mine is going to be a little different. Since I chose DECLUTTER as my word of the year, I wanted to spend more time on this, so I’m going to be doing a year long decluttering series with weekly and monthly prompts. I’m doing this in an effort to remove physical, mental, and emotional clutter from my life, especially since we’ve lived in the same house for 15+ years. I hope you will join me.

This past weekend, my family and I bundled up, jumped in the car and headed to First Horizon Park in Nashville for an epic holiday light show experience.
