Bloggers-Want more paying gigs? Then Join #Markerly and enter their Giveaway #ad

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Markerly, however all opinions are my own.

We are just three days away from finishing up the first month of 2014 and if one of your goals for this year is to monetize your blog and increase your blogging income then joining Markerly blogging network may be a perfect solution for you.

I know what some of you may be thinking: you’ve joined several blogging networks, spent lots of time filling out their applications and adding your stats in their network only to never hear anything else from them after receiving the initial welcome email.

Markerly is different.  Unlike those other networks, I was sent opportunities to apply for within the first 48 hours of joining. Yes- within 48 hours!  Markerly really does work with bloggers of all sizes. Finally, I found a network that cares about the quality of my work and my readers engagement, not just my stats. As a matter of fact, they are sponsoring this very post, so if they are happy to work with my up and coming blog, they will have opportunities for you to. Does this sound good to you? Then take a look at some of Markerly’s other features:

About Markerly:

  • Markerly is a full service managed network with 24/7 Blogger support.
  • Markerly gives you heat maps of your entire post so you can see what people were clicking on.
  • Markerly pays bloggers within 48 hours of a post going live.
  • Get free products to review like wine from companies like Last Bottle Wines and Invino or cool ear buds from Jaybird.
  • Markerly's network is open to anybody that has over 10,000 page views a month or an average of 3 comments per post.
  • Markerly is very focused on quality blog posts and bloggers that have engaged audiences.

I’m a member of several Influencer marketing networks and I have never been paid within 48 hours of my post going live. Ever! That is a huge plus for me as a blogger and brand influencer. I want to work with a company that recognizes my efforts and pays me quickly for them.

If you’ve been wanting to add another revenue stream to your blogging efforts, why not consider Influencer Marketing via sponsored posts? It’s a great way for brands to connect with bloggers and their audiences to sell more products and gain awareness. With Markerly you may get to work with brands like Levi's, Super Bowl, TruMoo, eMeals and more.

Because Markerly is unlike other influencer marketing platforms and their blogging network focuses on quality and authenticity you can write sponsored content that still feels true to you, not some cut and paste post that bears no resemblance to your natural writing style.

In my opinion Markerly is one of the best blogging network to find sponsored content opportunities and get paid to work with awesome brands. I invite you to learn more about Markerly and if you like what you see and feel you would be a good match then join Markerly’s blogging network .

Since we are on the topic of money- how would you like to win a $250 American Express Gift Card from Markerly? Just enter using the form below. A winner will be chosen on 2/27/2014!  All terms and details are listed on the entry form too.

Keeping track of important dates with House of Dolittle

Friday, January 24, 2014

Happy Friday!  Brrr… another cold snap has taken over and I for one am so ready for temps above 40. While I’m wishing for spring along with most everybody I know at this point, I’m thankful for January and all the “new” stuff it brings.

Like calendars and planners.

I love calendars. No, scratch that, I love functional calendars. Not those little purse thingies with their little bitty squares that I need two of per activity. Nope I like extra room for my leftie scrawl. So when Shoplet.com asked me if I’d like to review a desk calendar and weekly business planner for House of Dolittle, I happily agreed.  I received the products shown above free of charge to share my opinions, which are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

About House of Dolittle:

House of Dolittle has been helping people be more productive during their daily activities since 1919. They happily make all their products in the U.S.A. in Chicago, IL. All products are made with 100% post –consumer paper and soy inks.  My kind of company!

This desk top calendar reminds me of my many years (pre-kids) working outside the home in various secretarial and administrative positions.  I had to have one on my desk.  I wrote on it constantly. Not just important dates and key points of conversations, but reminders of what I needed to do and all the audibles tossed at me during the day from fellow office employees.

For at home use, this beauty resides on our family desktop. We all sit there and work and get frustrated when there is no paper to write on (usually because somebody carted off the notepad placed there). Now everybody can write all they want and have a visual reminder of what they wanted to remember instead of just telling me.

It’s all mine and is strictly for business. I have a lot to keep track of daily with my husband’s business, my blog and my Avon business. Way too much to put in my family planner. The weekly planner has lots of room for me to write on each day, an at a glance week view that I use often and it even offers an expense report ledger on the bottom of each page making it so much easier for me to keep track of the his, mine, ours business spending we do.  It will also serve as a reminder of expenditures we need to remember come tax time. Ugh, taxes! Another thing to "like" about January! *wink*

I’m very pleased with these products, they are easy to use and are helping me stay on task. It's not to late to buy yourself some new office supplies like these or the many other products available at Shoplet.com

As always, I hope you found this review helpful. Please share with me in comments, what type of planner or calendar system do you use to stay organized?

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

I love sharing Wordless Wednesday posts and just had to get one up for January so I started searching through my folders when I happened upon this beauty.

Click on Photo to see larger image.

My husband took this picture from our back deck. We have Deer on our property daily but usually just Doe's and Fawns. It's rare to see the Buck, especially during hunting season.

I'm glad my husband isn't a hunter.

Having said that, we know hunters and have a healthy respect for their humane hunting methods.

Is there a hunter in your family? Share in comments! Do you have a Wordless Wednesday post up too? Leave your link in comments so I can stop by.

Deep Cleaning Begins with help from Mr. Clean #Liquidmuscle #ad

Friday, January 17, 2014

This New Year cleaning resolution tips post is brought to you by Mr. Clean as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post.

In my recent Homemaking tips post, I shared my easy to follow Checklist tips on organizing your chores for each room of your house. Even though I have several hot spots to attend to, I was drawn back to my kitchen. Probably because it is a hub for our family and because my husband and I cook family meals almost nightly- this leads to a greasy, grimy stove top!

Look at that mess! Thankfully, I know the perfect product for this job- Mr. Clean Liquid muscle!

Courtesy: Mr. Clean

Have you heard about the new gel concentrate? If you are a fan of Mr. Clean products like I am, you are going to love this one too, especially since it has 2.5 more cleaning power in every drop, so you’ll be saving money while getting your house sparkly clean.  And I love the new auto-stop cap so you use just the right amount for each chore.

I tipped the bottle over and out came a dollop of lemon scented muscle.

Mr. Clean liquid muscle made cleaning my stove top and my stainless back splash a breeze. It rinses off quickly too so my stove was in tip top shape in no time. Just look at that reflection!

Next up will be my floors. I’ll add 1 squeeze of Mr. Clean liquid muscle to a gallon of water and mop all my floors including my Parquet Foyer because this product is safe to use on wood surfaces too.

My daughters grew up with the smell of clean lemon scented Mr. Clean so they enjoy coming home to that familiar scent. Yesterday my daughter said she wants her room smell like Mr. Clean Crisp Lemon, so she’d need my bottle!

I invite you to learn more about Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle by visiting their website and following them on Facebook and Twitter using their links below.

Share with me in comments- What’s your favorite scent for your home? I love Lemon/Citrus and clean linen scents.

MrClean_CMYKThis is a compensated post brought to you by Mr. Clean. Mr. Clean is kicking off the New Year with the launch of a new product called Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle, a new multi-purpose, multi-surface concentrated cleaning gel that delivers superior cleaning performance on and off the floor. Mother’s Therapy Organics Giveaway

Monday, January 13, 2014

Happy Monday everybody! Today I’m sharing a timely treat- something that I hope will help keep you and your family better protected from the Flu that is marching across our country. I was excited when I was approached by Mother’s Therapy Organics asking if I would like to try some of their products shown below free of charge in the hopes that I would share them here with you. Since I am always looking for ways to keep my family healthy, I happily agreed. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

About Mother's Therapy Organics:

Mother’s Therapy Organics™ is a woman-owned company that strives to provide parents with healthy options for our children. Our product line includes organic & natural hand sanitizer’s and baby lotion. I am always interested in helping support women owned businesses. I was drawn to Mother’s Therapy Organics Pledge:

Our Pledge to caring Mothers:
“Mother’s Therapy Organics™ pledges to use safe, natural and organic ingredients

in all of our children’s cleansing products; our dedication to the health and well-being of children is paramount.”

Our Review:

Our Box of Goodies
When my package arrived, the first thing I noticed was the wonderful scent coming from the box! Not perfume-ey, or babyish, just a nice, light clean smell that had me wanting to open a bottle and sniff right away. Which lead me to notice the packaging and adorable labels used. I could tell a lot of thought went into getting the theme of their product line just right.

The first product I tried was the travel hand sanitizers. I am forever washing my hands and during the winter months, my hands are often dry and chapped, so I find using most hand sanitizers a necessary evil because they aggravate my weary winter skin. I had no irritation whatsoever with Mothers Therapy! This hand sanitizer dries speedy quick- great for on the go uses and left my hands soft, not dry and lightly Cucumber scented. Into my purse it went, right after both my daughters tried this on their sensitive hands and gave it 2 thumbs up as well.

Next up we all tried a novel product- Mother’s Therapy Germ-Fight’n hand lotion.
Ahhh… that’s how I can best describe what our hands said! This lotion is a perfect at home alternative to washing hands with drying soap and water.
Mother’s Therapy suggests using this hand lotion in between diaper changes so your hands won’t get to dry. I wish this had been around when my girls were in diapers!

Lastly we all tried their baby lotion. This delicious smelling lotion is so thick and rich; it was actually hard to get out of the bottle! Oh, but this soothing, moisturizing lotion is worth every second it will take you to get it out of the bottle. It hydrates your hands without feeling greasy, blending in easily.

My daughters and I love each of these products and do recommend them not only for Mom's with babies, but for anyone with sensitive skin.

To learn more about these products, including their ingredients, I invite you to visit their website here, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

And now for my treat:

A Giveaway!

One lucky reader will win a family pack of Mother’s Therapy on the go Hand Sanitizers, a retail value of $30!  Entering is easy using the Rafflecopter form below. Giveaway open to U.S. residents 18+. No purchase necessary to win. My WAHM Plan not responsible for prize fulfillment. See full terms and conditions on Rafflecopter form.

Good luck!

Tell me in comments: What is the scent of your current hand sanitizer or body lotion?

Helpful Homemaking – Checklist Tips

Friday, January 10, 2014

Ah January, the month of “new” the month of “I will” the month of resolutions and goals and promises. Helpful organizing tips abound in January, they even made January National Organizing month, which hammers home the message that we all should be cleaning and organizing during every free minute.

But- I’m not.

Nope. I refuse to get myself all worked up this year.

It’s the 10th and I simply refuse to feel behind as I “heart” the many free printable’s showing up in my Pinterest feed.  Everything from chores, menu planning to home organizing binders can be found and printed. I’m tempted- I mean really tempted to waste my printer ink on these prettily designed pieces of paper that in theory should make short work of my organizing dilemma’s.

I don’t print them because I know I won’t use them. I have seen myself not use them in the past. So- here is what I use instead.

A legal size pad of plain white paper, a colorful pen and a clipboard.

That’s it.

Now the organizing magic can begin.

I walk from room to room with an Eagle eye, channeling my Moms white glove, everything neat and tidy approach to homemaking and I make my list for each room.

  • Put away lotions- check.
  • Revamp pantry- check.
  • Unmuck back hallway for the bazillionth time. Check.
  • If it is dirty, cluttered, unfiled, on the list it goes.

Only put chores on this list. No jotting down “buy new hand towels” when you are in the guest bathroom. There will be a list for that later.

Stick to what you want to get done- your chores.

Do feel free to put a family members name by certain chores. If they drug it out, they should find its home again (says every Mom on the planet).

Then- once you’ve gone through every room in your house and feel like your head is going to pop because you must be the worst housekeeper on the planet- stop! Take a breath, and choose the easiest task first.

And. Do. It.

Then check it off. Done!

Go through your list this way until you get to the real hot spots of your house. Seeing your completed tasks will make slaying your dragon easier.

I use this checklist method for any project that is multi-step, like planning a party, or revamping my flower beds.  This style of organizing my thoughts to organize my life works for me and it may very well work for you too. If you give it a try, please stop back by and let me know your thoughts.
And if you really want to get a feel for How clean (or not) your house is, go take this easy quiz on HGTV. I answered  mostly B’s- with a couple of A’s I blame completely on my Mother! You’ll understand that statement once you take the quiz.

Share with me in comments, what’s your dragon- what is the one place you wish you never had to organize again?
For me- it’s the Foyer closet! Ugh.
And let me know the outcome of the quiz too- no judging here!

Here's wishing you a happy, productive weekend. Now I'm off to buy some much needed hangers for that foyer closet of mine.

This is one sleek, stylish faucet that will instantly upgrade your kitchen’s look and feel. My husband had it installed in no time. He was impressed with the high end look and extra touches Psifter added like including the deck plate that has an integrated seal at the bottom which will cover up the extra holes you may have in your old sink and keep it from leaking.

I enjoyed the Oohs and Aahs our new faucet received from family at Christmas! It really does look wonderful in our kitchen and goes well with our Stainless sink.

Here’s our sink before our upgrade:
