Ah, summer, how we love you! The season full of family traditions like road trips and sleeping in since there’s no school; eating ripe, juicy, summer fruits that drip down your chin and eating out instead of cooking in a hot kitchen. Recently when we got hungry for a good home-style meal we didn’t have to cook, we headed to our local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen to let them do the cooking while we cooled off.

Hello from rainy Nashville. I don’t know about you, but I am more than a little ready to welcome in March and spring weather! Anytime we receive a package, my kitties need to investigate it. Most of the time I have to gently tell them they can’t play with the contents of these packages because I have to take photos of the products; so imagine their surprise and delight when I said they could check out this package because it was for them. I love how Dottie opted to get in the box and let her little sister figure out how to open the bags and cans. I’ll work on getting an unboxing video next time, because these two are just too cute!

Taste Text Time:

Nature's Logic dry kibble taste test time

As most parents can attest, it doesn’t matter if you are feeding little humans, or fur-babies, if the food doesn’t taste good, it won’t get eaten, no matter how much we explain how good for them it is!

Dry Kibble was a hit!

As I suspected it might be, the chicken meal feast dry kibble was a hit! All three of my cats (2 indoor princesses, and one garage/outdoor sweetie) love the taste and gobble it up when I serve it to them. There are several flavors available including Chicken, Duck/Salmon, Turkey, Sardine and Rabbit.

Wet food was a miss with one cat!

Next we tried the chicken feast wet food, which received two out of three paws up. The consistency of this wet food is actually on the dry side, almost dense, so only two of my kitties liked it.

I wasn’t really surprised that my Fiona didn’t eat this wet food because she has always preferred a more moist food, so please keep this in mind when making your purchases. Their wet food comes in the same flavors as the dry food. I offered each variety to Fiona and each time, she declined eating. She was happy to play with the cans and help me take photos for this post.

It is no secret that we are a coffee loving family here. My husband and I enjoy regular blend coffee that we buy at our local grocery store during our work week and that is perfectly fine. On the weekends though, we like to treat ourselves to a cup or two of specialty coffee roasts and flavors, so when SF Bay Coffee invited me to review their coffee and host a giveaway, I was only too happy to oblige.

I received complimentary product to facilitate today’s post and giveaway, however, all opinions and love of a good cup of coffee are my own.

My Thoughts:

I chose the Espresso Roast to try because my husband prefers a full-bodied cup of coffee without added flavoring and we were not disappointed in this smooth, easy on the stomach coffee. We really could “taste the difference” with SF Bay Gourmet Coffee. This roast pairs well with breakfast or brunch, and I found myself wanting to make a coffee cake to serve alongside this coffee when holiday company arrives- it’s that good!

I want to purchase the Dark Habits Dark Chocolate Caramel coffee next and experience some of their East India teas. The Apricot Orange herbal blend caught my eye as did the Earl Grey loose leaf tea. They offer a Java Perks club and affordable prices, making this a fantastic company to shop with this holiday.
