On Tuesday evening, my husband and I attended the press screening for The Burial, the latest film from Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx. Both are extraordinarily talented actors, so we couldn’t wait to see to see them paired up on the big screen. I don’t want to share any spoilers, so suffice to say, we are so glad we went! Read on to learn more about this film, which will stream globally on Prime Video on Friday, October 13th.

My Thoughts:
Doesn’t this true event story sound intriguing? Trust me, Willie E. Gary and Mr. Jeremiah O’Keefe are at first an unlikely pair, who quickly become a team you’ll be cheering and clapping for throughout the ups and downs of the film.
Even though The Burial touches on hard topics like tone deafness, racial injustices, corporate corruption, and litigations, it balances all that beautifully with easy to relate to people. At its core, it is about two men, both small business owners, both family-loving, spiritual men, who come together to fight a huge bully and along the way form an everlasting bond.
The Takeaway:
The Burial exposes corporate corruption and racial injustice in this inspirational, triumphant story. If you enjoy rooting for underdogs and finding friendships in unlikely places, then The Burial is the film for you! You can stream it on Prime Video starting tomorrow, Friday, October 13,2023.
