Are you excited to celebrate the upcoming Labor Day holiday? My family and I sure are! It’s a time of rest, relaxation, and great food! Today, I want to share three tasty foods I’ve recently tried and liked so much, that I thought you might want to add to your Labor Day gathering too.
Tasty Foods for your Labor Day Gathering!
During the warm months, anytime we host a gathering at our house, the grill or smoker is involved and this Labor Day will be no different. My husband is in his element preparing the meats we’ll serve. The sides, condiments, and desserts are my specialty, so I’m delighted I tried these three brands and enjoyed them so much, I’m serving them and sharing them!
One: About Alive Ferments Chili Sauce:
I love chili sauces, so I wasted no time trying out this one as soon as I received it. Alive Ferments’ Cultured Chili Sauces make it easy to incorporate some probiotics when boosting and spicing up the flavor of any dish. My mouth watered from the delightful aroma that greeted me as soon as I opened the Spicy OG chili sauce, so I used it as a dip with my chips. It was fantastic! I will be pairing this with steak over Labor Day.
This chili sauce has prebiotics, probiotics, and beneficial fermentation compounds, making it easy to digest but also enrich microbiome diversity.
Alive Ferments is all about celebrating the world’s many flavors and cultures and connecting people back to their roots. I can’t wait to try their other chili sauce varieties; mild red, mild green, and chipotle. You can choose between live unpasteurized probiotics, or their naturally fermented flavors on their website, https://aliveferments.com
Two: About Small Town Cultures:
I was a little skeptical when I first saw this trio of condiments from Small Town Cultures. Mainly because I’m not a fan of Kimchi, but in the spirit of trying new foods, I decided to give them a go. I received their sliced jalapenos, turmeric kimchi, and dilly green beans.
Small Town Cultures offers gourmet plant-based probiotics are small-batch foods made with the fresh waters of the Adirondacks.
Their raw fermented foods support your health and your guts health in the tastiest way possible. All clean offerings are made without vinegar or sugar and have no additives or preservatives. The products are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and keto-friendly.
I loved their jalapenos and had them with my sandwich. The dilly green beans were a new and unexpected treat, tasting like a pickled green bean! I just may add dill to some of my green bean dishes from now on and will serve these as part of my condiment tray at our upcoming gathering
I’m sad to say, that even though their kimchi is some of the freshest and prettiest I’ve ever seen, I’m still not a fan. I will, however, add all three of these condiments to my Labor Day faire and invite you to shop all their products at https://www.smalltowncultures.com/ .
Three About Mamalou Bakeshop:
What would a family gathering be if I didn’t offer a dessert or two? It’s been so terribly hot here in my region that it’s hard to want to bake, so imagine my delight when I received a dozen pre-packaged, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies from Mamalou Bakeshop.
Mamalou’s is a one-woman bake shop. Lauren is the baker behind the small-batch Mamalou Bakeshop. She wants to help us send love in the shape of a cookie from her bakery in Corvallis, Oregon to our homes all across the United States.
Lauren strives to use the freshest ingredients, and you can taste it in every bite of her thick, dense chocolate chip cookies. Lauren’s mission to source environmentally sustainable packaging spoke to my earth-loving heart!
All of her delicious treats come in eco-friendly containers and the cookies are individually wrapped, making them perfect for sending to school for lunches or class parties. Learn more about the six varieties of cookies and the cookie club at https://www.mamaloubakeshopcookies.com/ .
