I’ve been making this no-egg drop cookie recipe for almost twenty years, so it's become a family favorite. I like to use dark chocolate chips this time of year to make the cookies extra special for my Valentine’s Day Sweethearts. I’m sharing the recipe with you today so you can bake up a batch without ever touching precious egg supplies.

Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies To Delight Your Sweethearts!

No Egg Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Once you've gathered all your ingredients, this recipe takes about 5 minutes of prep time. It's kid-friendly too! Why not let the littles help you make a batch for Valentine’s Day?

Another feature I love about this recipe is that they are drop cookies.  Spoon a large teaspoon of cookie batter on your lined cookie sheets and pop them in the oven. Please note this recipe will make 3 to 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies depending on the size of your scoops and the amount of dough you and the kiddos consume while making them. No judgment- that’s part of the fun with this no-egg recipe.

In roughly nine to eleven minutes, (depending on your oven) you’ll have fresh-from-the-oven, tasty dark chocolate chip cookies. This cookie is the best of both worlds combining crispy edges and bottoms with soft and chewy tops.

I was delighted to see one cookie in the shape of a heart in my last batch. A perfect gift for my sweetheart.

Drop Cookie Variations- Omit Chocolate Chips:

Besides making dark chocolate chip cookies, this easy-drop cookie dough can be used to make several cookie variations.

  • For Chocolate Cookies: reduce the flour by one-quarter cup and add a half cup of powdered cocoa.

  • For Cranberry Orange Cookies: add one cup of dried cranberries and replace Vanilla extract with orange extract.

  • For Cinnamon Cookies: sprinkle unbaked cookies with cinnamon sugar and bake as directed.

  • For White Chip Cookies: add two cups (1 12 oz. bag) of white chips.
