It’s been an annual Mother’s Day tradition that my daughters make me brunch. Until they were teens, my husband was there to help, but now he’s in charge of fresh ground and brewed coffee and if I want, a cocktail after we eat, so when Tina’s Vodka asked if I’d like to try their organic Vodka I said of course! Below are two simple Lemonade Cocktails for Mother’s Day and beyond.

My thanks to Tina’s Vodka for sending me a complimentary product for today's post. No further compensation was given. All opinions are my own.

About Tina’s Vodka:

Tina’s Vodka

Tina's Vodka was started during the pandemic. It’s an organic and non-GMO American-made vodka that is delicious and affordable. The brand was founded by singer-songwriter turned entrepreneur, Tina Karras. I loved learning about Tina, and her female-owned business.

About The Owner/Founder- Tina Karras:

Tina was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, a state I love visiting with family. She grew up working in her family's restaurant and gained valuable experience in the food and beverage industry, working in various roles such as a waitress, bartender, cook, hostess, manager, and buyer.

Tina moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career, and after working in restaurants and music venues, she saw an opportunity to create a vodka that checked all the boxes of what she believed a great vodka should be.

Tina's journey has been filled with challenges, from launching her vodka during the pandemic lockdowns to fighting a billion-dollar corporation opposing her trademark. Despite the obstacles, Tina persisted and is now thrilled to share her vodka and music with the world.

What Makes Tina’s Vodka Unique:

Tina set out to fill a void in the spirits industry by creating an American-made, organic, non-gmo corn-based vodka that not only tasted good but was affordable as well. At around $35 for a 750 ML bottle, affordable is a term open to your interpretation.

Now that you know a little bit more about the brand, I’d love to share two simple lemonade cocktail recipes with you. The first one is my take on the all-Ameican Lemonade cocktail I discovered online, and the second is a delightfully tasty-sounding recipe from Tina’s Vodka.

Linda’s Happy Lemonade Cocktail:

Linda’s Happy Lemonade Cocktail:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz (shot) Tina's Vodka
  • 6 oz homemade lemonade (lemonade mix works fine too!)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • lemon wedge for garnish
  • ice cubes as needed
  • Edible Rose Dust for the rim

Instructions:

  • Make lemonade ahead of time and chill if possible so you don’t have to use ice.
  • Chill drink glasses for 20 minutes before serving if possible, if not, use ice.
  • Pour lemonade into a glass to ¾ full
  • Add 1.5 oz (shot) of Tina’s Vodka
  • Add 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Slice a small slit in lemon wedge, run aond rim of glass
  • Tap finger into edible Rose dust and run around rim for a pop of happy color
  • Garnish the glass rim with lemon

Serve and enjoy! Tina’s recipe is a little more complex than mine since it requires making syrup, but the syrup seems straightforward, so don’t let that stop you from making this delightful-sounding cocktail.

4. Top with sparkling water.

5. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprig of lavender, if desired.

My Thoughts:

Don’t these two simple lemonade cocktails sound refreshing? My husband and I really enjoyed the flavor and mellowness of Tina's Vodka! It was pleasant to the nose as well as the palette. There was no harsh "vodka" profile at all, which I attribute to their proprietary distilling and filtering techniques.

I’m glad to have the spritzer recipe on hand for Mother’s Day and special times coming up this summer like family gatherings, picnics, BBQs, and bonfires. Be sure to check out my food and drink section here on the blog for more recipes.
