All My Favorite Things Summer Edition

Way back in February, before Nashville was hit with a devastating tornado and before the ongoing pandemic flared up, my daughter and I optimistically started a new monthly blog series called All My Favorite Things. You can see the original post here.  We thought this would be a fun way for us to share a few products, mainly beauty and accessories, that we were enjoying that month. Then life happened and our normal routines were upended. Since doing a monthly series seems out of reach right now, we decided instead to do a seasonal post, so here is our All My Favorite Things Summer Edition.

My Favorite Summer Jewelry: Minimalistic Gold Earrings and Rings :

I strive to make my purchasing dollars help small businesses based in the United States as much as possible, especially when it comes to my jewelry. Au-Rate based in New York is a fantastic shop for hand made pieces. They believe that fine jewelry deserves fair prices and so do we! I adore their minimalist line, like these classy Gold bar Huggie earrings I recently purchased. I feel very pulled together when I wear them. I’m sure these gold bars will be in rotation for many seasons to come.

Au-Rate also has a fantastic line of Gold Rings ! I think my next purchase will be one, or two of these adorable, stackable Infinity heart gold rings. The hardest part will be deciding which color of gold I want them in. Which would you select? To see all of this companies quality, handmade jewelry, visit their website here.

My Favorite Summer Scent:  White Tea, The Blanc Roll On:

All My Favorite Things Summer Edition #scent White Tea Roll on

Every woman I know has a certain type of scent they are drawn to. For me that’s fresh florals. I have a handful of go-to perfumes I re-purchase, so I was happily surprised when my daughter gifted me this lovely scent that fit me so well. Here is the scents description from the retailer where my daughter purchased it.  White Tea is a burst of liveliness that will awaken your senses, like the first sighting of a fresh spring flowers or feeling the warmth of the Sun on your face after a long winter. The purity and freshness of white tea is combined with notes of sage, white musk and cardamom for an elixir of youth and vitality.”

A quick look on this blog, or my Instagram will alert you to the fact that I adore fresh flowers, like my Hosta bloom above; so it’s no surprise that White Tea The Blanc fits me so perfectly! This Eau De Parfum smells amazing on me and I receive so many compliments when I wear it. It’s slim, sleek roller ball makes it easy for me to tuck it into an overnight bag too.  There are 15 scents in the Solinotes collection, which are meant to be mixed and matched to create your own unique scent. You can check them out here.

My Favorite Summer Manicure Helper: Nail and Cuticle Oil:

All My Favorite Things Summer Edition Cuticle Oil

I work with my hands. Whether it’s typing a post like I’m doing now, keeping my home on the daily, or working in my beloved flowerbeds, my hands are my most important tool. I try to take good care of my hands, and will remember to wear gloves sometimes, but more often than not, I go gloveless. That leads to dry hands, nails, and cuticles. I recently started using Sally Hansen Vitamin E nail and cuticle oil and can already see and feel the difference in my hands, especially my nails! According to their website, this product is “An intensely moisturizing Vitamin E Oil that softens cuticles and cares for dry, brittle nails. The natural essential oil complex with vitamin e, wheat germ, apricot kernel, aloe and panthenol moisturizes and conditions cuticles while increasing nail flexibility.”

I’m going to continue applying this soothing oil to my nails every night because of its benefits to my nails and cuticles. Plus, it’s a nice way to relax and do something for yourself at the end of the day. You can learn more about this product here.

Until Next Season:

I had a lot of fun putting together My Favorite Things Summer Edition! It is my hope that by sharing some of my favorites, you’ll be inspired to try a new product and find a new favorite or two. It’s a good way to show yourself some love. A new season will be here before we know it, so stay tuned for my fall edition.
