Last month, I received a beautifully wrapped spa collection set of
Roux newest hair care line, Precious Oils Collection to review. I could tell by
the attention to detail of the packaging (complete with tied bow!) that I was
in for a treat. Roux didn’t disappoint! They sent me a thick terry robe with matching
slippers and three full sized products in a lovely shade of yellow that made me
immediately think of lemons, which I love. Imagine my delight when I opened the products for their sniff test, and
they smell delightfully lemony! Read on to for my full review of the complete weightless precious hair care collection.

This new product line from Roux®,
a trusted hair care and color brand from Revlon® Professional, launched at
Sally Beauty stores in February and according to Patricia Williams, Roux®
Education Ambassador, we’ve never had so many options for creating the hair we
crave.
From color to texture to style, it’s easy to change our hair up daily. She
goes on to say, “But the steps we take to get the perfect finish, including coloring,
heat-styling and blow-drying; the sun’s rays; minerals in our water; wearing
our hair in ponytails, braids and buns; even brushing and combing every day; can
weaken and damage the delicate hair fiber, leaving it dull, frizzy and limp”.

My Review:
I’d like to tell you a little about the three products I received
and my thoughts on each of them.
Product 1: Roux® Weightless Precious Oils Luminous Shampoo:
This shampoo features luxurious cleansing oils that transform into
a rich lather/foam to cleanse impurities and product build-up from hair and
scalp gently yet effectively, while restoring essential moisture. Hair is left
lightweight, soft and shiny.
My Thoughts:
This shampoo smells amazing! If you love lemon/citrus scents, you
will love all three of these products. The first time I used it, I pumped out
the normal amount I would use with my regular shampoo and found that I needed
just a little bit more to give me the full of suds feeling I like. That’s probably
because this shampoo is moisturizing. I loved how clean and fragrant my hair
was and couldn’t wait to try the conditioner.
Product 2: Roux® Weightless Precious Oils Softening Conditioner:
This conditioner is infused with eight
precious oils plus vitamins E and B5, provides intense hydration to help transform
dry, damaged, thick or coarse hair into soft, shiny strands. It also helps
control frizz without building up or weighing hair down, leaving hair touchably
soft.
My Thoughts:
The conditioner smells just as good as
the shampoo and feels nice in your hands as you apply to your hair. In fact, I
think it added a little moisture to my winter dry hands as I smoothed the
conditioner in. I always leave my conditioner in my hair for at least two minutes
while I finish up in the shower, so by the time I was ready to rinse my
conditioner out, my shower smelled so nice!
Product 3: Roux® Weightless Precious Oils Restorative Hair Masque:
This mask is an intensive,
vitamin-infused formula that helps hydrate dry, damaged, thick and coarse hair.
Infused with eight precious oils plus vitamins E and B5, the formula helps strengthen
hair, helps hair resist future damage and smooths split ends to help control
frizz.
While I really do like the shampoo and conditioner and can see good results in my hair so far, this mask is my favorite product! It leaves my hair feeling so soft and shiny for days at a time and really helps cut down on the frizz. I have fine hair, but I still battle frizz, especially on humid days, so trust me when I say this mask tames the frizz well without making my hair limp! Fine haired ladies rejoice! It feels good on my hands too because I also rub in the deep conditioners on my hands instead of rinsing it off. You should try it! With eight different soothing oils, it’s like a dual- purpose spa product that will make your hair and your hands feel pampered!
