Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible Giveaway - My WAHM Plan

Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible Giveaway

Happy Friday! It’s hard for me to believe we’ve already reached the middle of April! It feels like this month is simply zooming when compared to last month. March may have had thirty-one days, but I’m fairly sure we all lived those days twice or something, because March really took a toll on our nation and the world. I’m doing my best to remain hopeful during these trying times and I’ve found that spending time reading and studying the bible for a few minutes in the morning is helping. I received a complimentary Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible from Lev3l Digital to review and host a giveaway. Read on to learn more about this new bible.

Read. Watch. Apply.

About the Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible- 1500 Principles to live by: Author: Dr. Gene A. Getz:

Before we talk about the study bible, I’d like to share a little bit about the author.

“Dr. Gene Getz is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Rocky Mountain College. He has earned advanced degrees from Wheaton Graduate School and New York University. He served as a professor at Moody and Dallas Theological Seminary and then became a church planting pastor, launching the Fellowship Bible Church movement. He is heard daily on radio in a 2-minute feature entitled “Bible Principles.” Dr. Getz has also authored over 60 books.”

Introducing the CSB Life Essentials Interactive Study Bible with Video:

Take a look inside the bible and listen to Dr. Getz explain his approach to teaching and applying bible verses to everyday life situations.

My Thoughts:

As I was reading the introduction, I found it very insightful that the author addressed one of my first questions upon receiving this study bible, which was Do I need another study bible? Actually, Dr. Getz’s question is: Why Another Study Bible?

Dr. Getz immediately won my attention by acknowledging he had asked himself the very same thing. I won’t type out his answer here but will summarize the he feels this study bible is a new translation from the original texts from the bible, not just a revision of a previous translation. In all honesty, I’m still working my way through the introduction portion of this new interactive study bible because of its interactive capabilities. Let me explain. It all starts with those QR codes found on almost every page.

Working with the QR Codes:

I have an iPhone which allows me to just point my camera at the QR code and it will automatically read the code and share the link to the teaching like this.

If your smartphone doesn’t do this, go to your app store and download a QR reader. Once I follow the link, watch the video, read the passage again in the study bible, my morning devotional time in almost up.

That’s not to say I don’t enjoy this new learning style; I’m just not used to it yet. All previous bible study guides have been about reading and comprehending the text by further reading. But what if you don’t like reading? Or you just don’t learn well by reading alone? I know personally, I’m an avid reader and yet, I prefer listening to my pastor break down a bible verse while I read along. It sticks in my brain better that way. Are you the same way? Then, I think you are really going to like this study bible because it addresses ALL learning styles.

What’s Your Preferred Learning Styles?

  1. Visual- Prefers using pictures, images, and spatial understanding.
  2. Auditory- Prefers using sound and music.
  3. Verbal- Prefers using words, both in speech and in writing.
  4. Physical- Prefers using your body, hands, and sense of touch.
  5.  Logical- Prefers using logic, reasoning, and systems.
  6.  Social- Prefers learning in groups or with other people.
  7.  Solitary- Prefers working alone and uses self-study.

Depending on the topic, I could be all these learning styles, which is why I think I’ll stick with this interactive bible study once I find my routine and commit to morning devotional time.

The Takeaway:

I’m happy to own this lovely interactive study bible. It covers 1500 principles to live by.
