This is a sponsored post on behalf of Amber Vale Home.  I received information to facilitate today’s post as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. All opinions and love of candles are my own.

About Amber Vale Home:

Amber Vale Home is a brand-new home decor company focusing on hand-crafted items. They are based in Franklin, Tennessee! That’s very close to me, I may have to stop by real soon to smell all the candles and request to watch the hand pouring process. All of their candles are a soy-coconut blend with wooden wicks and come in a variety of unique scents.

The Holiday Sampler:

My Review:

The Look and Label Test: First Impression of Amber Vale Home Candles:

My daughter and I have a thing for candles. We can go into a shop and spend long minutes exploring the candles. We pick by look and label first, then scent. So, let me give you our first impression of the Amber Vale Home 3-piece sampler set.

Look:

Pleasing amber brown bottle with black lid lends these candles a cute, minimalist look. I can see myself re-using the bottles once the candles are done.

Label:

The labels and crisp and easy to read. One was placed slightly off center which I actually loved because it made me think that loving hands actually placed the label on the bottle.

The Scent Sniff Test:

Have you ever picked up a candle and been totally disappointed in the scent profile? Maybe my daughter and I are just picky candle people, but this happens to us often. We love to label scents, so if the label says Gardenia for instance, we shouldn’t smell a scent akin to dish liquid when we smell your gardenia candle! There is no such problem with Amber Vale Home Candles! Every scent smells EXACTLY like its name.

The Burn Test and other candle questions:

beautiful lit wood wick candle #giveaway #ad

1. Does a candle burn clean?
2. Does it go out and need to be re-lit?
3. Do you lose the wick in the wax pool?
4. Does the candle burn true to scent profile?
5. Is it overpowering?

6. Does the scent envelope the space?

These are just a few questions that come to mind when I’m trying out a new candle brand or scent. For my testing of Amber Vale Home Candles, the answers are:

  1. Yes, burns very clean.
  2. My candle hasn’t needed to be re-lit yet and has been burning almost an hour now.
  3. No wick loss or coverage!
  4. Yes, candle burns true to scent profile.
  5. Candle isn’t overpowering.
  6. Yes, the candle has filled the room with a pleasant scent.

Are you curious to which candle did I select to light first my candle Q & A? It was Tennessee Christmas! Feel free to start singing Amy Grant’s Tender Tennessee Christmas song with me now.

Amber Vale Home Candle Tennessee Christmas #ad

My favorite Holiday Candle: Tennessee Christmas:

Let me be clear, I did not pick this candle as my favorite because I live in Tennessee. I picked it because I adore evergreen scents and finding a candle that has the perfect combination of scent profiles to make it pleasing to burn is a tall order. Tennessee Christmas is a blend of evergreen + deciduous and a hint of something crisp, almost citrusy that evokes a walk on a crisp winter’s day. We love this candle and think you will too!

A candle just for Thanksgiving: Amber Vale Gathering:

This is the candle I’ll burn at Thanksgiving this year. Gathering is a blend of orange + clove with a hint of vanilla in the mix. I think I’ll place this candle atop my baker’s rack so that if permeates the room but doesn’t overpower the food. If this sounds like a perfect candle for your Thanksgiving as well, you may want to hurry over to the Amber Vale Home website and order a Holiday Sampler Set right away. It's only $20. While you're there, be sure to give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram

About with Extra Whip Holiday Candle:

Lastly, I’m giving the sweetest candle in the trio With Extra Whip to my daughter who loves a sweet-scented candle and anything Christmas! She is part Elf after all. With Extra Whip has notes of peppermint + hot chocolate.  It’s a blend of scents that makes me think of Crème De Menthe candies.

The Takeaway:

I’m blown away by the level of love that is evident in every Amber Vale Home Candle. It starts with their packaging, which came perfectly sealed and double boxed to ensure no breakage occurred. Included in my box was a nice thank you note and tips on how to light a wooden wick candle which is so thoughtful. Wood wicks are different than normal wicks, so this attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed and made me feel confident that no matter who I gifted these candles to, they would get the most out of their candle.

The scents are truly amazing whether you are sniffing the unlit candle prior or post burning or enjoying your homes scent while the candle burns. I’m enjoying Tennessee Christmas as I write this, and it is a mellow scent that doesn’t overpower. To me, that makes this a perfect candle to light and let burn for hours a t a time.

What a fun giveaway! Thank you for hosting! If I won these candles, I would be gifting them as stocking stuffers to my mom, sister, and best friend. Not an *entirely* selfless gift though, because I'd still get to enjoy the smells when I visit them haha!

I would gift these wonderful candles to a family member. My apartment building banned candles, unfortunately. I love the names and scents of these candles.
