About ADORED 365-day devotional for young women:

You are adored by God!

Written by: Lindsay A. Franklin
Published by: Zondervan

“In an ever changing world, you can be certain of one thing: You are adored by God.”

ADORED: 365 devotions for young women tackles the tough topics teens may face in today’s world. Topics like:

  • Bullying
  • Social Media
  • Friendships
  • Dating
  • Relationships
  • Love

Each day features an easy-to-read. Relevant devotion paired with a scripture verse and journaling space to help our teens reflect on the day’s message.

ADORED Day 7 devotional #ad #FlyBy #AdoredByGod

For instance, on the Day 7 page I shared above, it asks if you have ever broken a promise to anyone. I’m fairly certain that we all have done this. Whether with malice or not, sometimes we over commit ourselves and before we know it, we have to go back on a promise. The scripture at the top brings into focus our very humanness. Then the devotion below helps unpack that scripture in a way that is relatable, not preachy.

ADORED 365-day devotional for young women wants to show young ladies how infinitely precious they are in God’s sight; how very adored they are and of upmost importance, especially in today’s fast moving society that we are not alone. Ever.

My Thoughts:

This book is for girls 13 and up and I couldn’t wait until Christmas to give this to my 14 year old daughter. She loves it and can’t wait to get started journaling her way through this book. We both noticed that one of the great things about this devotional is you can start wherever you are led to start. There is no right or wrong way to read, learn and absorb the helpful information and teachings.

Final Thoughts:

As we enter into the most wonderful time of the year, let’s remember to nourish and restore ourselves Moms (and Dads if you are reading). We have been conditioned as a society to be BUSY, to over-achieve, to do and be on the go always! But what if this holiday season, we did less running and more connecting and showing our love in a more meaningful way?

As a blogger, I know I’ve been guilty of this from time to time- but what if we cared less about the perfect Instagram photo and more about just being in the moment without capturing it with anything other than our eyes and our hearts? Wouldn’t that make our loved ones feel truly adored?

Please share in comments: How do you connect with your teens in a meaningful way during the holidays? Do you have a special activity you do together?

“Disclosure (in accordance with the FTC’s 16 CFR, Part 255:  “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising”):  Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC for providing this prize for the giveaway.  Choice of winners and opinions are 100% my own and NOT influenced by monetary compensation.  I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post.

  3. Hi Lauren,

That sounds like a lovely tradition! I hope you will be able to do it with your loved ones this holiday season. Thanks for entering. Good luck!

This would be a perfect learning gift for your nieces. So glad you stopped by and entered. Good luck!

  5. I have a nineteen year old daughter who is working out her faith in a secular college and this would be a great gift to give her. There are so few good devotionals for young women!! Thanks for the review!!

  6. i keep my children involved in the holidays by teaching them about Jesus and all the stories in the Bible.

  7. "Send college kids care packages that nourishes body and soul"

  8. I like for my children to know how important the hoildays are and what they mean and what there about.

  9. My niece is almost 14 & I connect with her by spending time together (shopping, crafts, movies). This devotional would be perfect for her.

  10. Connecting with teens nowadays is a little tricky. I bond with my teenage daughter by having special lunch dates. I did this with my son when he was a teen and at 21 one we still do this. We go to their fav place to eat and just gab about whatever they want. I've learned that my kids are turning into wonderful young people.

I think this devotion would be great for my daughter as she is a college student at a more liberal school and she is learning to deal with issues that she has never had to before while maintaining her stand on her faith in God. This would be a great for her.

  15. This would be perfect for my daughter.

  16. I talk with my niece because she talks to me easier than her mom. She knows I will help steer her the right way, and give her positive ideas to consider. During Christmas there is so much happy things happening we can talk and it be a good atmosphere.

  17. I am a mom to 5 girls and this book would be perfect for them especially helping them with specific topics! Thank you!

  18. This would make a great gift for my friend's daughter. I think the best way to connect with a teen is to try and get involved in a hobby or activity that they enjoy doing. The bonding and conversations will come naturally if you are having fun together.

  23. Hi Jen,

You make a good point in that sometimes it's easier for girls to talk with a close family member rather their parents. I love that you are a hands on Aunt! Family connection is important. Good luck and thanks for entering!
