My family and I love shopping at our local Aldi grocery store. No other grocery offers me the same quality produce, meat, and dairy, plus a wide and varied selection of organic products all at affordable process. I can’t sing the praises of this store enough, so I was delighted when I was asked if I’d like to receive a copy of The Unofficial ALDI®  Cookbook to review and host a giveaway. Read on to learn about Aldi and enter the giveaway.

Aldi Store

About Aldi:

According to their website, “For over 40 years, ALDI US has stuck to the same guiding principle: Great quality shouldn’t come at a high price; rather, great quality should come with everyday low prices.”

I agree wholeheartedly and am so very thankful I have two Aldi’s to shop at locally.

How Aldi Got It’s Start:

Founded by the Albrecht family, the first ALDI store opened in 1961 in Germany, making ALDI the first discounter in the world. Headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, ALDI now has more than 2,000 stores across 36 states, employs over 25,000 people and has been steadily growing since opening its first US store in Iowa in 1976. If you’d like to find an Aldi grocery store near you, use the store locator here.

The no-frills grocery shopping experience focuses on customers first - delivering high quality food they’re proud to serve their family, responsive customer service, everyday low prices, and a quick-and-easy shopping experience with only four to five aisles and all the essentials. We carry the weekly must-haves and display them in their designed shipping boxes to help save time and resources to restock shelves.

Shoppers will find more than 90 percent of the groceries we offer are under our ALDI exclusive brands, hand-selected by ALDI to ensure that our products meet or exceed the national brands on taste, quality and, of course, price. That means you don’t have to worry about which ketchup brand or Greek yogurt brand is best, because we’ve specially curated the best product for you and your family. We can’t promise you’ll find ten choices of the same item, but we can promise you’ll find the best one.

Additionally, we partner with a wide variety of growers – including some local farmers – to offer a wide variety of fresh, in-season produce, including organic fruits and vegetables. From USDA Choice meats to gluten-free and organic foods, we are committed to bringing our shoppers the highest quality products at low, low prices.

Aldi Organic and weekly specials

The produce section can’t be beat, and I shop almost weekly because of it! Now that you have a better understanding of why I love this grocery store so much, it’s time to talk about the cookbook.

Cannoli Dip Recipe from The Unofficial Aldo Cookbook

Whether you want to make a dessert dip like this one, a Tamale Pie, or put together a tasty cheese plate, this cookbook has you covered! I’ve flipped through it many times now and marked recipes I want to try. I’ve also left the cookbook on the kitchen table this weekend, which invited my family to give it a look and let me know which recipes they’d like to see added to the weekly menu. That’s the great thing about owning cookbooks- they are fantastic resource for the age- old question What’s for Dinner? Now, I’ll be able to quickly meal plan, write down my grocery list and get my weekly shopping done!
