Have you ever started singing a song simply from hearing a word or phrase? I know I do! In fact, music plays a big part of my life with my husband as well. From going to concerts together, to sharing a new cool tune we’ve discovered, music has been a staple in our relationship for almost 30 years. When I was asked if I’d like to receive a complimentary board game called Spontuneous The Song Game to share with you, I happily agreed because I thought it would be a perfect gift for my husband and I thought you might be looking for a last minute gift idea for Father’s Day. Come check out this game for cool music loving Dads with me.

Spontuneous: The Song Game for Cool Music Loving Dads

This is a sponsored post on behalf Spontuneous The Song Game. I received information to facilitate today’s post as well as a promotional copy the game to thank me for my participation. All opinions and love of board games are my own.

About Spontuneous The Song Game Creator by Rob Ridgeway:

I think it’s extra cool that the creator of this board game is a local Nashville based entrepreneur! Mr. Ridgeway made a board game out of that crazy occurrence where hearing a particular word spontaneously causes a song to pop into your head. Mr. Ridgeway states that “Spontuneous reviews reflect exactly why we created this game—a fun-filled, non-tech, family-oriented game that connects people through the music they love and the memories they create.”

About Spontuneous The Song Game:

Table Top game Spontuneous The Song Game #ad

This is an old school board game, requiring a tabletop instead of electronics making it the perfect game for that cool music-living dad in your life. Since fathers can be hard to buy for sometimes, this song game is a perfect gift because there is no talent required and it will get the whole family involved. In fact, the broader the tastes in music the better. In our family of four, which includes two Gen Z daughters, we could be singing anything from classic rock to Kasey Musgraves to the latest from Harry Styles. I’ve been playing (and singing along with)  his latest song Cherry on repeat!

How to Play:

How to play Spontuneous The Song Game

The objective of Spontuneous is to stump your opponents from being able to sing a song containing the trigger-word you’ve chosen. The players race to be the first to sing a 5-word portion of a song containing that word. The first player to begin singing rolls the dice to advance on the game board. If everyone is stumped, the player who announced the word must be able to back it up with a song of their own otherwise they are penalized. The first player to reach the finish line and complete the Spontuneous challenge wins!
