A special thank you to
Royal Canin and PetSmart for sponsoring today’s conversation. All opinions and
love of my fur babies are my own.
Earlier this month our fur princess Dottie turned 8. Like
all princesses, she deserved a special birthday gift. If my non-fur children would have gotten
their way, Dottie would have received a birthday party fit for a true princess.
I convinced them that a trip to PetSmart for a new toy and
some special cat food would suffice.
We love going to PetSmart! Their staff is always so friendly
and knowledgeable about all types of pets, not just our fur babies. We always
look at the beautiful birds and fish before heading to our main department:
Cats.
On this special occasion, I wanted to give Dottie a special
treat that would also be good for her changing needs. No longer a kitten or young
adult, we were noticing a subtle change in how Dottie ate and enjoyed her food.
She was showing signs of discomfort after eating; I was looking for a food just
for digestive health and nutritional needs for an adult indoor cat.
The Cat food section at PetSmart offers a variety of
products for all ages, stages and nutritional needs. As we walked down the aisle, we were drawn to
the Royal Canin food section because it was one of the largest there.
Royal Canin is a global leader in pet health nutrition and
they strive to bring the most precise nutritional solution for cats and dogs.
Through extensive research, Royal Canin has identified the needs of our cats
and dogs.
They live by the conviction that, no matter how much we love our fur
babies and treat them like family- our pets are not people and they require
unique nutritional needs.
We decided to gift Dottie some Royal Canin for made just for
the digestive health of a mature cat. Thankfully, Dottie loved her special gift
and will buy her more on our next PetSmart trip.
Royal
Canin and the PetSmart staff are here to help you make the best possible food
choices for your cats and dogs as well. No matter if they are large or small,
pure bred or mixed breed, there is a specially formulated food made just for
them. I invite you to visit PetSmart’s store locator to
find a store near you.
If you would like to learn more about all of the Royal
Canin cat foods available prior to going to PetSmart, please visit their cat food page.

New puppy mama, second week, so this is good info to have, thank you!
ReplyDeleteFur babies are super important as they give so much love. I am so glad to see something we can do back from Royal canin
ReplyDeleteMy kids like cats but one is allergic to them. So we can have any.
ReplyDeleteI am allergic to cats, so we are not able to have one, but I take benedryl and visit friends with cats because my son loves them. It's so worth it. I'll have to mention this brand of food and nutritional aspects to my friend because she has 3 cats and treats them with the best.
ReplyDeleteWe love our sweet doggie but we don't celebrate birthdays. We should because he is like a brother to my sons and definitely my baby.
ReplyDeleteTruffle and Brulee have eaten Royal Canin since they were kittens and now eat the RC Persian formula.
ReplyDeletewe use that brand for our cat. He seems to really like it. we bought a sample pack a while ago to and that was a hit. Pet Smart is great for pets. He also like to drink from the sink! wish he could turn off the water
ReplyDeleteHi Rajean,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on.the new fur baby! Puppies are so cute.
Hi Dana,
ReplyDeletePets really are so special because of the unconditonal love the give us. :)
Hi Tara,
ReplyDeleteAww, cat allergies are the worst!
Hi Daisy,
ReplyDeleteTwo of my daughters friends have to take Benedryl when they visit, but they say petting our cats is worth it.
Thank you for passing on this information to your friend.
Hi Sweet,
ReplyDeleteYou cats are so adorable! Royal Canin and you have treated them well!
Hi Alison,
ReplyDeleteWe bought a small bag of dry too because my Dottie can get quite testy when we switch brands sometimes. My other cats are way more laid back about it all.
I used to have a cat named Precious that had almost that same pattern with the half mustache. What a sweet kitty!
ReplyDeleteNo cats at our home, but we have dogs and we make sure they are well taken care of.
ReplyDeleteIt's so important what we feed our pets. They are, after all, like another member of the family.
ReplyDeleteHi Carlee,
ReplyDeleteThank you! Dottie really is a sweet-heart! I bet your Precious was too.
Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteIf you would have asked me before having daughters if I celebrated pets birthdays I would have said no! Kids change lots of things. :)
Hi Alsion,
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Royal Canin!
You should video your smart cat helping himself to a drink. :)
Hi Maria,
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. Our cats are treasured members of our family.
Hi Erlene,
ReplyDeleteMy girls want a dog so badly, but I think it will take lots of convincing before we give in to the cuteness of the girls and the puppies!
