Color of the month February 2015 Sunset Pink - My WAHM Plan

Color of the month February 2015 Sunset Pink

Oh February, how I want to love you.  You are positively filled with celebration days: National Freedom Day (2/1), Groundhog Day (2/2), Valentine's Day (2/14), Mardi Gras (2/17) Chinese New Year (2/19).

All of these days fill my mind with vivid colors just thinking about how I might decorate to celebrate the day- but it's not enough. I want to look out my window and see a colorful landscape, but dear February, you just can't manage that.

What you can manage and do provide most beautifully is glorious sunrises and sunsets. It was a toss up which I'd pick for this months color, but in the end, the sunsets won.

Here's a photo of a resent sunset in my neck of the woods.

And here's my Pinterest board for this month. I hope you like it!

If you have a sunset photo you'd like me to see, or other pins (family friendly) that boast a sunset pink vibe, let me know in comments and I'll add it to my board.

Stay Warm!

Please share in comments: Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets and why?

We have these sunsets over our mountains that are called the Sandia mountains. Sandia means watermelon.

I always love our sunsets here in the mountains of AZ - it's amazing the artwork that God can create in the sky! :)

I prefer sunsets. I'm never awake early enough to see the sunrise...LOL.

What a great picture you caught of that sunset. I truly was magnificent. I haven't noticed any sunsets or sunrises lately--just gray overcast skies and SNOW. Wait--the sky was actually blue today!!!!!!

I love your sunset photo! I love both sunrise and sunset, but sunrise makes me happier because I think of the day ahead of me with all of the great possibilities.

What a lovely color to be inspired by. Honestly I xan choose between sunset and sunrise. Both are special in their own way.

I enjoy sunsets because I think they are much prettier to watch, and the variety of colors involved are more magnificent.

Hi Tara,

I can imagine your mountain sunsets can be breathtaking. Thanks for telling me (us) what Sandia means- I would have never guessed watermelon!

Hi Jamie,

It is amazing to look up and see God's handy work isn't it? I always told my girls the angels were painting the sky!

Hi Lisa,
Ha! I rarely got to witness sunrises either until my girls got to middle school. Now I'm up before the sun most mornings!

Hi Katherine,

You must be an early riser then. Sunrises are beautiful in their on right for sure.

Hi Frugal,

Thanks! it's not my magic, these lovely photos are all made by mother nature and the help of some angels. :)
Glad you liked the board.

Hi Alison,

Thanks for the supportive comment! I know you need spring to come much sooner than me. You are getting way to much of winter!

Hi Onica,

Thank you- I'm happy you like the collection and inspiration behind my choice.

Hi Jessica,

I guess they are Mother Natures' way of ensuring we have color even in the dreariest of winter months.

Hi Yona,

That's a very valid point- I think of sunrises in pastel palletes, and sunsets in vivid, bold colors.

Hi Stefani,

We take a ton of pictures at dusk and twilight too. I'd love to see some of your captures sometime.Share!
