Disclosure: Catholic Central provided me with product in giveaway to facilitate this post. The opinions I share are my own.

At this time of year, we all become a wee bit Irish (or more Irish!) we bring on all things green! We start looking for leprechauns, pots of gold at the end of each rainbow, and four leaf clovers too.  Even though I’m Scottish, I still feel a certain pull towards Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland and all the wonderful ways to celebrate the day. Much like Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of our summer here at casa Kinsman, St. Patrick’s Day is our unofficial start of spring. We have a wonderful Shamrockin’ St. Patrick’s Day and want you to as well, so read on for five ways to celebrate the day and win a Saint Patrick's Day Feast Kit!

Shamrockin' St. Patrick's Day:

Jade plant the perfect green for St. Patrick's Day

Gifting Green:

Isn’t the Jade plant beautiful? To me, it is the perfect shade of spring green.  It is the first harbinger of spring on my front porch every year. I over-winter two big pots of this plant that was a gift from my Mother in law one early spring day (maybe it was St. Patrick’s Day!) many years ago. I adore this plant and have carried on the tradition of gifting starts from my Jade to bless others spring gardens. Some wear green, some eat green, we gift green!

Cleaning Green:

Since St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated over spring break, it has become our family tradition to clean off the front porch and back deck to help welcome spring back to our home. We use green cleaning products on our tables, chairs and pots. Nothing says happy St. Patrick's Day, happy spring and welcome and to our home as nicely as our clean deck with touches of green!

Eating Green:

Our dinner menu varies from year to year because we like to serve something that everybody likes. One year it may the traditional Corn beef and cabbage with lots of potatoes and carrots. Another year it may a beautiful pork roast like this beauty below and a big bowl of Colcannon with a hardy dark, or Irish soda bread.
