Will You Watch The 97th Academy Awards on March 2, 2025?

The awards season for 2025 wraps up this Sunday, March 2, 2025 with the airing of the 97th Academy Awards. It’s a long-standing tradition for my husband and I to tune in for this event. We’ve been watching the awards together since the early 90’s and consider it a fun date night.

The 97th Academy Awards: How and When To Watch: 

Here’s the important information you need to know on when and where to tune in according to ABC News.

Time and Place:  “The 97th Oscars will air live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. 

Tune in to ABC's official pre-show, "On the Red Carpet at the Oscars," on Sunday to see live interviews from the red carpet with some of the night's nominees and presenters.

I first watched the red carpet show with my Mom as a young girl. I remember seeing the stars dressed to the nines and thinking they were all so beautiful. That has stayed with me.

The 2025 Oscars will be televised on ABC in more than 200 territories worldwide. For the first time ever, the Academy Awards will also stream live on Hulu.”

“Conan O'Brien will host the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, marking the comedian's first time hosting the Oscars.” I think Conan O’Brien is an excellent choice to host. He’s funny and shouldn’t be over the top or controversial.

My Thoughts: And The Oscar Goes To:

While I know awards shows aren’t everyone’s thing, I love them, especially this one. Each year is full of surprises. From the red carpet looks, to the presenters and host, to my favorite part, the acceptance speeches. I find it all highly entertaining. 

I’ve been moved to think, act and feel many emotions while the winners try to put their thanks and thoughts into words. Even if my nominations don’t win, I’m still there, tuned in until the host says goodnight.
