Almost Wordless Wednesday

I love sharing Wordless Wednesday posts and just had to get one up for January so I started searching through my folders when I happened upon this beauty.

My husband took this picture from our back deck. We have Deer on our property daily but usually just Doe's and Fawns. It's rare to see the Buck, especially during hunting season.

I'm glad my husband isn't a hunter.

Having said that, we know hunters and have a healthy respect for their humane hunting methods.

Is there a hunter in your family? Share in comments! Do you have a Wordless Wednesday post up too? Leave your link in comments so I can stop by.

We have deer, moose, foxes, the occasional bobcat in our hood in Colorado. But when you see them out, like in the front streets and parking lots, it gives you pause. Nice photo! I might join the #WW link-up later today, haven't done one in a while.

Right now all of our deer are hiding because we have a couple mountain lions hanging out. I miss seeing them out my back window.

Deer are so majestic, aren't they! At our old house, we saw lots of does and fawns, but a buck was a rare sighting. So neat that y'all were able to get a photo!

I love seeing deer when I go out to my parents house in the country. Although I always fear them when driving.

No hunters in my family, but that is such a great picture! I wish we had deer that close in our yard. We have lots of bunnies and groundhogs!

Hi Rajean,

I don't how I would react to seeing a Bobcat up close! They are beautiful creatures, but scary.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Tara,

We have Coyotes here sometimes in the late fall. They go to our pond to drink and its spooky listening to their calls.
I'd love to see a Road runner! If you have a picture of one, I'd love to see it.

Hi Jamie,

Thank you! I agree- bucks are majestic animals.

Hi Crazed Mom,

Thank you! I can't take credit for it though. It was all hubby, being one with that Buck.

Hi Melinda,

We don't have any Foxes here that I've seen. We do get Coyotes though.

This is really a striking photo, compliments to the Photographer. We have a lot of birds and small wildlife but no large animals, our property isn't really conducive to that. No hunters in the immediate family, but many friends and neighbors who do. It's all humane as you said and more often than not they eat what they kill.

Have a great day and thanks for sharing the photo!

Oh, I forgot to ask, what other kinds of wildlife do you get? I get bunnies that eat my veggies too... Those are fun! lol

Wow, what a beautiful photograph. The deer looks so majestic with those antlers. We get a lot of muntjac deer round here which are small. I worry driving when it's dark as they can suddenly just bound out onto the road. No-one hunts them.
Hope you are enjoying the tribe week! best wishes
