I'm glad you've kept your power.
I'd love to see your Nasturtiums! I didn't know they'd volunteer easily. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll get some for both girls to plant in their gardens. :-)Linda A Kinsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18056026661992815682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080783697378837128.post-14444624685169118782012-01-22T15:57:01.753-06:002012-01-22T15:57:01.753-06:00Hi Lynden,

I would play all day in those lovely blooms. When my Mom asked where I was, my Grandparents would always say, did you check the Lilacs?
I hope my Lilacs will some day produce enough blooms to do something like you did for your family, to wake up to the heady scent of Lilacs all through your home... wow, thank you for sharing such an awesome memory. :-)
I will stop by your blog soon!Linda A Kinsmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18056026661992815682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080783697378837128.post-42012579002420436452012-01-21T15:29:35.940-06:002012-01-21T15:29:35.940-06:00Katy sent me! When they bloomed, I'd go out after the children were asleep, make bouquets for each bedroom and other rooms so the whole house was Lilac -scented when they awoke in the morning... Thanks for sharing your heart...
Lynden
http://aneleganttouch-Lynden.blogspot.comLynden Blossomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05203861588329848409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080783697378837128.post-13145166031686504432012-01-21T15:15:29.700-06:002012-01-21T15:15:29.700-06:00You make me want to go out and dig! We've had some very destructive snow and ice here. Seattle made the news for their worst storm in over 30 yrs. Thank the Lord we didn't have the power outages they have had for over 3 days now. Seattle called for help from 4 states for downed power lines. Kids love it as there's been no school for over 1 week.

I have the best trailing Nasturtians ever! We collect the seeds and leave some volunteers to sprout up early. They literally climb all over bushes and up trellises. You can also eat every part of the plant above the ground. They look beautiful in a salad.

Love your lilac photo.Donna Peruginihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09119371217968036772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080783697378837128.post-65655763598839944842012-01-21T15:15:14.564-06:002012-01-21T15:15:14.564-06:00You make me want to go out and dig!
