Can you believe it’s the end of July already? Yikes! It is crazy hot and humid here in the south and back to school is looming large, so I really need to keep a healthy snack option for busy summer days on hand while I run errands with my girls. I like taking my walks, jogs in the morning hours before it gets really hot! There are less people and it is lots of fun to me.

We swim almost daily, and love to work in our container garden! We did our first one last year and had so much fun...we expanded it this year! The dogs also love to go for walks early in the morning before it gets too hot!

I tend to go to the gym and do the elliptical machine in the summer when it is too hot outside.

Summer in the south is brutal. When it is too hot to be outside, I hit the elliptical.

In the summer I walk inside and also practice yoga. Occasionally I will head to the lake for a swim.
I swim during the hottest part of the summer, actually I try to just live in the lake as much as possible. :) I don't do heat.

I stay active in the summer by going to the park with my kids, swimming, and going to the gym.
I'm swimming a lot more at the YMCA during the summer months.
