What's blooming

The weather is lovely here in middle TN. and my daughters and I enjoyed spending time outside yesterday afternoon.

Instead of digging or pruning, or ugh! weeding yesterday, I just evaluated and enjoyed my blooms.

In gardening as in most things in life, we should stop and take in where we are right in the moment.

As my children laughed and ran and played all around me,  I made mental notes of my progress and work still to do.

Clematis #blooms
What should I do about my Clematis reaching the top of the Trellis already?

What's eating on my Hosta?

Peony blooms
Why didn't I stake my Peonies before blooming?

Red Roses
The Rose that will not die has rewarded me, but I'm gonna need hubby's help to trellis it.

Shade Coleus
Cutting back my shade Coleus in fall was a good idea.

Plant more Viola's. They are so pretty and dainty.

White Roses
Research this white Rose that everybody thinks is a Gardenia upon 1st look.

Do you enjoy gardening? If so, I'd love to know what's blooming in your garden right now.

  1. Great idea...I'm going to photograph my yard blooming as soon as the 'eternal rain' ends. We have rhodedendrons, Mt. Fuji flowering cherry tree, camelia bush, etc.

    Bring on the sun!

  2. I wish I had a garden too, but there's no room in our condo.

  3. I love gardening, but dont actually find out the time and oops...i even dont have a kitchen garden, gawd these cities are getting of more cement and cement than soil. Anyways i like your idea for blogging,,,,gardening.i admire that.
wish you good luck for your future posts. Keep writing.

  4. Hi Donna,

I pray you and that whole region of the US gets some sun soon!
Please share your flower pics when you can, I'd love to see them!

  5. Hi Pepper,

A condo would make it tricky to garden, but maybe you could try your hand at container gardening.

Thanks for visiting, I'll stop by your site soon!

  6. Hi Deepika,

Thanks for stopping by . I appreciate your supportive comments and will visit your blog soon.
In the mean time, stop off at a local nursery and buy yourself an herb or pretty blooming plant for your kitchen, it will make you smile everytime you see it!

  7. I think that you have a wonderful home for beautiful plants, I know im commenting on last years post, but I bet your already planing what comes this spring.

  8. Hi Karren,

Thank you for the compliment and yes I have been planning and dreaming of spring and what blooms I will be adding. My daughters enjoy gardening with me and they want bright, sunshiny colors added this year.
    Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Those are gorgeous flowers. I have never had a green thumb although my mother has. We just bought our house on almost 2 acres of land and although it's winter time with tons of snow on the ground I will be planting flowers as soon as the cold weather disappears!

I'd love to hear from you!
