With the official start of spring just one week away, I wanted to continue sharing helpful gardening resources with you so you can be armed with lots of information and tips to start the gardening season off strong. Today, I’m reviewing and hosting a giveaway for a fantastic resource on shrubs and hedges. This is a newly published book written by Eva Monheim. It’s a practical, ordinary person’s guide to choosing, planting, and caring for the world’s most popular plants, shrubs and hedges. Personally, I love having them in my yard and garden. They add so much beauty and color and are a bee’s paradise. Read on to learn about my favorites and how you to can add shrubs & hedges to your garden plan this year and enter the giveaway!

Wordless Wednesday: Much needed rain

The photos I'm sharing today were taken from my front porch a few days ago when a unexpected rain shower blessed us with some much needed rain.

This pop shower started with these big, beautiful raindrops.

Then quickly turned into a downpour.

And just as quickly as the rain started, it stopped and left everything refreshed and beautiful in its wake.

Happy Wednesday everyone.

Free up your hands with a tablet stand

in , , , , , , , , , , by Linda A Kinsman, Sunday, February 23, 2014

I love office supplies and trying out new ones but I never saw a need for a tablet stand because I don’t use a tablet often. However, my daughters use their tablets all the time, so when Shoplet.com asked if I wanted to try a tablet stand free of charge, I said sure. I’m very glad I did.

One of the things I noticed right away was how small the tablet stand was. It folds down for easy storage which is a huge plus for me. Whether I keep it in my office, or one of the girls takes it to their room, it will fit in a drawer or cubby easily.

Another nice feature of this tablet stand is that you can use your tablet in portrait or landscape mode and rotates 360 degrees.

The hands free design makes playing games, pinning, following recipes (both on and offline) a breeze. I even found it holds paperwork to ease viewing and entering information on spreadsheets.

All in all, we really like this tablet stand and find it is a good value for the price. I invite you to go to Shoplet.com to learn more about all the Kantek products.
