It’s that time of year again parents. The time we both dread and love- back to school time is here in middle Tennessee and in communities all around the south. This year will be a little easier for us with our oldest daughter since she will be a sophomore in college. We know better what to expect with her living on campus.  We wanted to ensure she had cleaning drinking water when she moved into another dorm hall this year, and working with ZeroWater will ensure that.

AD: ZeroWater pitcher helps college students have pure drinking water + giveaway

My thanks to ZeroWater for sending me a complimentary ZeroWater 7-cup Ready-Pour Pitcher for today's post and for hosting my giveaway. All opinions are my own.

About ZeroWater 7-cup Ready-Pour Pitcher:

ZeroWater's 7-Cup Ready Pour has a sealed lid and reservoir, making it possible to pour water that has already been filtered without spilling water that is still filtering. That way there is still some water in the pitcher even if your roommate (s) takes the last drop. And it fits in a dorm fridge!

Easy to Use:

There are only 4 parts to this product, making it easy to set up and use. Once you screw the filter onto the bottom of the lid of the pitcher, you can start adding tap water to the top where the pitcher starts filtering the dissolved solids in the tap water.

About ZeroWater 5-stage Filter:

According to their website, ZeroWater 5-Stage filters remove virtually all total dissolved solids based on an EPA certified lab test, while conventional 2-Stage filters remove less than 50%. Also, ZeroWater’s 5-stage filter in the only filter certified to reduce both lead and chromium. Here is a video from ZeroWater that explains their filter process.

Filtering and Testing the Water:

It takes roughly 10- 12 minutes to filter all seven cups of water the pitcher will hold, so I suggest reminding your college student to do this at night. If they get thirsty while filtering, they can simply pour a cup of water, test it with the handy water meter that’s included with their pitcher and continue filtering.

About Water Quality around the United States:

AD: ZeroWater TDS chart

As you can see from this chart, most tap water in the United States falls in the 051-200 range for total dissolved solids in our tap water. Some areas could have higher or lower readings so the ZeroWater filtering system usage will vary. You’ll need to change the filter when the quality meter reads 006.

My Take Away:

Drink pure refreshing water ZeroWater #ad

Clean drinking water is so important to all of us, but most especially to our college students when they are away from home and may not have access to (or the budget for) bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes.  With the ZeroWater 7-Cup Ready-Pour Pitcher, you can feel confident that your student’s water is a clean as purified bottled water! Plus, the water from the pitcher tastes great and is very refreshing.

I invite you to learn more about ZeroWater and their 7-cup ready pour pitcher here. The pitcher cost $21.99 and a replacement filter is $12.99 making it an affordable, thoughtful and practical gift not just for college students, but anyone who may need this convenient filtered water option! Once my daughter heads back to campus life, I may have to purchase this pitcher for my family to use and enjoy.
