Cool off with Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen passport to summer menu - My WAHM Plan

Cool off with Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen passport to summer menu

Ah, summer, how we love you! The season full of family traditions like road trips and sleeping in since there’s no school; eating ripe, juicy, summer fruits that drip down your chin and eating out instead of cooking in a hot kitchen.  Recently when we got hungry for a good home-style meal we didn’t have to cook, we headed to our local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen to let them do the cooking while we cooled off.

This is a sponsored post on behalf on Moroch agency and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. I received a complimentary item as a thank you for this post. All opinions are mine.

Have you had a chance to eat at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen? My family and I hadn’t, so we were excited to try them for dinner one recent hot night and I tell you, they did not disappoint us! From the super friendly staff to the cool family friendly vibe, this restaurant chain that got its start in Texas is 1979, is right at home here in middle Tennessee!

I wanted to sit as close to this amazing fish tank as we could, but there wasn’t a table available up close, but our server was happy to switch us to a booth nearby, simply because she heard me mention it. That level of attention had me loving the place before we ordered!

Cheddar's iced tea is so refreshing on a hot day #ad

It was hot as blue blazes (pardon my southern, but it was!) and we were all feeling parched, so the kids ordered Cheddar’s delightful strawberry lemonade, which comes loaded with real strawberries, while the hubby and I ordered iced tea. It really hit the spot and our server kept bringing new glasses to our table, we never had to ask once. That is great service I can get behind.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen also has a fantastic bar and I saw a host of pretty drinks go past our table. During the Passport to summer celebration you could try tropical inspired drinks like:

  • Maui Margarita
  • Presidente Sangria
  • Island Tiki
  • Cheddar’s Pina Colada
  • Cheddar’s Pain Killer

When Cheddar’s says the serve All-American food they mean it.  Everything on their menu sounded good, so we started with their Onion rings off the appetizer menu.  The portions are huge!

My husband had to try their 21 oz. bone in rib-eye and mashed potatoes with southern style green beans.  Delish!

The girls opted to give their chicken tenders a try, while I just had to try one of Cheddar’s tropical inspired menu items . My choices were either the grilled Tilapia and Shrimp with mango salsa, or the sweet heat Chicken and Shrimp (shown in first photo). It was a real tough call, but the chicken and shrimp won out, but only because I ate fish the night before.

We all enjoyed our good food and decided to treat ourselves to a dessert. Again, it was a hard choice. Everything on the menu beckoned and with Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen's affordable prices, we could have ordered two desserts, but didn’t think we could finish them. We finally agreed to get their hot fudge cake sundae. Look at this delectable dessert!

It was so tasty good and honestly was plenty for a family of four. We had a hard time finishing it after all the food Cheddar’s had served us. I invite you to check out Cheddar’s website here to find a location near you and be sure to join their e-club while you are there. You’ll be the first to know about their new menu items, special offers and you’ll get free Chips & homemade Queso dip just for joining. Free is good and so is Queso dip!
Follow them on social channels too and you’ll be hungry before you arrive.

Hmmmm ... hard to say! I will say that the stack of onion rings and the hot fudge cake sundae look REALLY tempting, though. Thank you for such a delicious giveaway.

Hi Susan,

The you can't go wrong with their onion rings and the dessert was too good to pass up. We split it between the four of us so it wasn't too bad. Thanks for stopping by and entering. Good luck!
